SPOOKY HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION EVENTS REVEALED

Lafayette, Ind. (October 9, 2023): Ghosts, goblins, and witches are descending upon Lafayette,
as the community gears up for a season of community-oriented Halloween celebration that
promises to excite visitors of all ages. Along with safety information for trick-or-treaters, local
leaders released plans for a series of fun activities. With a mix of food, arts-and-crafts, and party
events, there is something for everyone in Lafayette to enjoy! Mayor Roswarski expressed
excitement, stating,"This year's Halloween express showcase the soul of Lafayette. We are
blending tradition with modern culture. We are inviting everyone to come and experience the
magic."
Events
Boo at the Zoo: This family friendly event is great for all ages. Go to the Columbian Park Zoo
in your Halloween costume and see the animals in their costumes! There will also be an
obstacle course and train ride. Boo at the Zoo 2023 will take place on Oct. 20, 21, and 22 from
3:30 to 7:30 daily.
Annual Halloween Bash: This even generates screams of fear and joy at The Door Room.
The heavy metal concert on Oct. 28, 2023, features a variety of bands and activities for its
attendees. Come participate in the guitar shredding contest or the scream contest. The
doors open at 7 p.m.
Evil on Erie: Experience the terrifying portal into another evil world. The Evil at Erie haunted
house has thrilled tourists for decades, and once again will be operating starting Oct 6, 2023.

Trick-or-Treating Regulations: Community leaders have outlined a series of regulations to
keep trick-or-treaters safe. Go to the towns official website to see the community guidelines.

These events are intended to boost community engagement and morale, while at the same
time affirming Lafayette’s reputation as a fun and dynamic city. Prominent business owner Jim
Smith said, "I can't wait to see visitors enjoy the unique charm and spirit of our Halloween
celebrations. It's a testament to the warmth of our community. I really believe that this year’s
events reflect the growth and passion our city has recently experienced."
