During audit of for above noted period, it was observed that 142 No. of transformers of different capacity were burnt which caused heavy loss to IESCO. Dhudial 45 | Total 142 It is also impossible to ascertain either these transformers were related to distribution/public transformers or private individual independent transformers. It was astonished to note that not a single independent transformer was shown burnt during the year or cost there of recovered from respective consumers. This situation transpire that no check and balance being carried out by higher management to prevent such alarming situation. It is further noted that cost of above said T/F was not recovered from concerned person. S.E/XEN (E) IESCO is requested to please look into the matter and direct all the officers/officials concerned to ensure the compliance and save IESCO from loss under report to audit. General scrutiny of the record revealed that theft of material valuing Rs. 342,000/- was took place in Lilla Town Sub Division under P.D. Khan Division as per detail below mentioned. However, despite the lapse of considerable period neither of the recovery of stolen material could be affected nor the thieves could be controlled. This indicated that the chances of recovery of stolen material from the thieves were very remote and ultimately the loss was required to be got written off from the competent authority. But it appeared that no steps seemed to have been taken for getting the loss written off. Further the financial adjustment of theft of material against head of account meant for stock losses was also required to be carried out which was also not done. MATERIAL QUANTITY COST (RS.)
