 OBJECTIVES
1. The students are going to look into different school
systems and school life in different countries and
compare them to our Spanish one in order to think
about possible improvements.
2. The students will learn to use the language needed
to do a presentation and have a subsequent chat
expressing their conclusions.
3. The project will be done in pairs so we’ll learn
teamwork techniques.
 STEPS
1.Choose a country which you’ll search about from the given list (PISA).
2. Browse the internet to find information about some of the following points in
relation to its education system and school life:
- What types of school can you find in this country?
- How many lessons/hours a day? - What subjects?
- How long are their breaks every day?
- About holidays: how many? How long?
- Are special exams required to promote to further levels of education? (for example,
from primary to secondary or from secondary to sixth form (Bachillerato)?
- Homework?
- How long must a student be attending school? What age can a pupil leave school?
- Can they do homeschooling?
- What isn’t allowed at the school?
- Do they have to pay a fee to study at a state school?
- Are boys and girls in the same class? /in the same school?
- Are students mostly happy/stressed at the school ?
- Any other aspects you might find interesting.
- As a conclusion, in your opinion what are the pros and cons of this country’s school
system and school life?

INTO ACCOUNT:
1. Your presentation MUST be 5/6 minutes long per
pair!

2.You MUST have VISUAl support (canva, genially,

powerpoint, etc) when doing your presentation.This
visual aid must only contain some words or photos,
NOT long texts.
3. You need to organise your information in a clear
and logical away
