 Jue Zhou cannot attend the movie "Rabe's Diary"
Hua Yi Brother recently disclose their new important project,
cooperating with German producers to make movie "Rabe Diary", will
be directed by German director John Rabe.
The movie bases on the book named "Rabe's Diary" which was
pulished 10 years ago in German. It was also then translated into
many languages and got attention all over the world. It tell about
Nanjing massacre occurred on December 1937 when Japanese troops
occupied the eastern Chinese city and killed over 300,000 people. The
movie is scheduled to shoot on October 18th.
Recently many news spread that Zhou Xun will play leading role in the
movie. In fact, the German director praises Jue's performance. She
also read the script and really like it. Both sides had good meeting.
However, time is a barrier, because of being so busy, Jue cannot join
the movie.

Jue Zhou visited home town

The third Zhejiang tourist festival takes place from Sep 11th to Sep 13th in Cu Zhou
city, Zhejiang, China. It was reported Zhou Xun would come back hometown and
attend the festival as an ambassador. She would appear in the opening ceremony,
join tour and visit local schools. Thus, when the festival is coming, there was an
activity in Chu Chou got many people's attentions:"It's free to enjoy the Movie
Queen Jue's wonderful performance in her movies". It started with showing Ming
Ming. Because the movie tells about modern love story, the majority of audiences
were young people. Besides watching movie, they ebulliently discussed Jue's movies
and her coming back here. It was said that this activity would last 3 days. After Ming
Ming, her latest movies, The Banquet and Perhaps Love would be respectively shown in the
following evenings.
As the schedule, on Sep 11th, Zhou Xun came back Chu Chou and visited Chu Chou school. In
the morning, atmosphere at the stadium of school was very noisy because hundreds of students
gathered to welcome her. About 10.30, as soon as appearing, Jue was surrounded by many
teachers and students and received fresh flowers and garlands from them. In the meeting, Zhou
Xun was so surprise and happy that she cried because some her old friends also came here. Not
only singing the song "watching sea" as a present for everybody, but also Jue encouraged
students in study and sent best wishes to school. The meeting only lasted 30 minutes but gave
everyone, Jue, teachers as well as students, strong impression, an unforgettable memory.

In the afternoon, Zhou Xun played one of the most
important scenes, Li Mi meets by chance her boyfriend
(played by Deng chao) after 4 years separated but he
doesn't know her and even hand in hand with other
women. Because of the high requirement of
performance and the atmosphere at the place of
shooting was so noisy, Zhou Xun couldn't control her
mood. During the afternoon, her eyes were full of
tears. And perhaps because of being attentive to the
crowd, after a NG, she shouted in front of the
reporters. However, she quickly calmed down and
apologized to them.

Jue’s in dangerous scene

It was very dangerous as the scene was taken in the high
brigde, the lord of dealing drug (played by Wang bao
Gang) pursues Li Mi by car. This required the extremme
carefulness and absolute accuracy, other wise the car and
Zhou Xun might fall down the river. After getting
nesessary attentions from the director Cao Bao Bing,
Zhou Xun did by herself without any protection facilitiy.
Seeing this, reporters broke into perspiration for her. It
was said that such dangerous scene appeared many
times in the movie, Zhou Xun played by herself with no
complain and even gave the staffs dust-proof kerchiefs to Jue as a taxi driver (ent.sina.com)

On the same day, Zhou Xun and Deng Chao had an
interview with Sina. Talking about the first co-operation
with Zhou Xun, Deng Chao said that he leans many
things from her. She always works so absorbedly that he
cannot distinguish between Li Mi and her.

WHEN it comes to musicals,
you either love them or hate
them. So why any sane, award-
winning director would choose
to return after almost 10 years
with such a hit-or-miss
comeback is anyone’s guess.

For his daringness alone, Peter

Chan (Comrades, Almost a
Love Story, He’s A Woman,
She’s A Man) deserves an
award. From the outset,
Perhaps Love affirms Chan’s
flair with its bling-bling set
designs, colourful circus
scenes, and mesmerising
Bollywood-styled musical
numbers. It is touted as one of
the very few, if not the first,
Chinese musicals ever
produced on

Xun), will be his co-star. When
they first met, Lin was studying
at the Beijing Film Academy
while Sun was performing at a
local bar. He was a poor
student, and she a songstress
down on her luck. The two
lonely souls connected and fell
in love. But, Sun’s burning
desire for fame ended their
relationship. She left Lin for
Nie, who then made her a star.

unresolved tension as soon as the ex-lovers meet. And as Lin
and Sun spend more time with each other on the set,
memories of their past begin to overwhelm them. As the
production of the musical progresses, the romance of their
past is rekindled? Told in a movie-within-a-movie style, the
love triangle plot that mirrors the actors’ own lives promises
an interesting denouement. The actual execution, however,
requires huge doses of faith on the part of the audience.
As jealousy, hatred and passion collide on the set of the
musical, the movie flips back and forth in time as Lin and
Sun’s past love story is revealed, evoking the intoxicating
feeling of love as they shoot their movie. Unfortunately,

Huang Rong of Zhou Xun:
Zhou Xun’s portrayal of Huang Rong
was surprisingly good. My initial
impression wasn’t too optimistic,
because my stereotype Huang Rong
has really big eyes like Barbara Yung
and Athena Chu Yan had. The last
version of LOCH I had was the comic
series and her eyes got even bigger
then. Zhou Xun has small eyes, but
within a few minutes of watching her
act, she captivated me. Much of her
attraction comes from the script, no
doubt, but Zhou Xun brought a very
jolly liveliness to the character.
Perhaps it was my first time watching
LOCH in Mandarin, but I really loved
her voice. She could switch between
being serious, funny, happy and sad
seamlessly. An immensely lovable
character, she grows on you more
and more as the show progresses.
She did some voice-acting for the Jin-
Yong online gameworld and her wit
was used as a marketing tool for the
game, so I assume she must be
pretty famous in China for her quick-
witted roles. She’s level with Mei
Chaofeng as my favourite character
Li Ya Peng as Guo Jing
Guo Jing is a honest, loyal and noble feeling guy. His
father pass away soon and his mother and he move to
Mongolia to live. Guo Jing has a marriage pledge with
Hua Zheng princess first but when he go to China to
figure out who killed his father, Guo Jing fall in love
with Huang Rong.
When this film was shooted, Li Ya Peng’s role was
noticed so much because this role had had two big
star performed successfully before. We have two
different public opinion. One, about 30 to 60 years
old, said that Guo Jing of Li Ya Peng is not as good as
Felĩ x Wong, he can not graspe his character’s
psychology. The other, about 18 to 30 years old, said
that he is the best Guo Jing they have ever seen.
They also found a fanclub to support him.
Zhou Xun as Huang Rong:
Huang Rong is only beloved daughter of Huang Yao
Shi, owner of peach blossom island. When she was
young, her mother passed away . She grew up with
her father and inherited his personality: active, hard –
headed, intelligent, knowledgeable and quick -
thinker… When she first met Guo Jing, she was
attached herself to him. They has been spent a lot of
differences before they can be happy together.
Athough the role of Zhou Xun has no heavy fire of
public opinion as much as Li Ya Peng, her role was not
appriciated highly. Pepole think Huang Rong of Zhou
A two-thumbs-up acting was presented by Zhou Xun,
who played Huang Rong. I know Barbara Yung
(LOCH83) was very beautiful, but Zhou Xun is very
beautiful too! Also, she could play the role of Huang
Rong very well. She was lively, cheerful, naughty,
spoiled, and of course, she was very clever! The
character of Huang Rong could always help Guo Jing
solve problems. As with Li Yapeng, her problem was
the voice. It was too soft. It should be louder and
shriller. I think her portrayal is the best in this series.
NAGYA
Zhou Xun, for the most part, played this part very
well. She certainly has the look, and her expressions
are quite on the money. Her unconditional love for
Guo Jing is very apparent. Zhou Xun only problem is
her voice. Her voice here is low and husky, while
Huang Rong should sound like the hyperactive sixteen
year-old that she is. At first, I was deeply irritated by
her voice. But I did eventually get used to her voice,
so it wasn't nearly as bothersome. In fact, she sounds
quite fine while talking seriously. But it seems out of
place when she jokes around.
