"To what extent has the diet of our ancestors influenced the way we eat today? ¨

Do you know that if our ancestors did not eat carbohydrates in the past, our brain

would not have been developed correctly and the actual society would have been completely

different from the one we know? The way that ancient people ate in the past has affected

human lives, not only in our development but also in how we are fed. Nowadays it's so

complicated for us to find healthy organic food, but why wasn’t it so hard for our ancestors to

find food and keep strong?

In the past, people were completely selective with what they ate, men choosing the

correct animal to hunt, women watching and analyzing per hours if the food was not toxic,

and all this for giving their families a good dinner, and maybe you are asking, what this has to

do with our lives? Well, think about it, in the present our families have tastes acquired from

generation to generation, some examples are vegan families, families that every weekend

gather to eat barbecue, The taco Tuesdays, and even cultural meals for each country. Our

families select everything at some point, and we pass it down through generations without

realizing it. In fact, nowadays we also have a goal in our minds when picking food, for

example losing weight, gaining muscles, or even abstaining from food that we are allergic to.

It is hard to believe but our ancestors created dietary patterns that we follow nowadays.
Some families are focused on healthy eating and some on keeping every traditional

meal, even if they are not really nourishing. What we should aspire for is eating healthy, and

improving our life’s quality while not losing our traditions and quirks. This way we could

center on having a nontoxic meal as our ancestors and also having fun eating delicious dishes.
