1. Diosdado Banatao
- He is known for designing and developing the first single-chip microcomputer. He is
considered as one of the pioneers in the microcomputer industry. He also developed the first
calculator with a single chip.
- Diosdado Banatao is a Filipino-American engineer and inventor who was born on May 23,
1936 in the town of Cagayan in the Philippines. He was the son of a farmer and was raised in
a small village where he had limited access to education. Despite this, Banatao was able to
pursue his education and eventually immigrated to the United States in the 1950s to study
electrical engineering.
- Banatao is widely regarded as one of the pioneers in the microcomputer industry, having
designed and developed the first single-chip microcomputer, known as the "Mostron." This
invention revolutionized the computer industry by making computers more affordable and
accessible to the masses. He also developed the first calculator with a single chip, known as
the "Four-Chip Calculator."
- In addition to his work on microcomputers and calculators, Banatao has made numerous
other significant contributions to the field of electronics. He has received numerous awards
and recognition for his contributions to the industry, including the Philippines' "National
Scientist Award for Engineering" and the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Philippine
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
- Banatao continues to inspire and influence the next generation of engineers and inventors,
and is widely recognized as a trailblazer in the field of electronics.

2. Julian Banzon
- He is a Filipino scientist who invented the "Banzon," an improved version of the traditional
Philippine rice thresher. This invention reduced the time and effort needed to thresh rice,
which significantly improved the efficiency of rice production in the Philippines.
- A Filipino scientist and inventor who is best known for his work on the traditional Philippine
rice thresher. A rice thresher is a machine used to separate the grains of rice from the stalks
and husks.
- Banzon's invention, known as the "Banzon," was a significant improvement on the
traditional rice thresher. The Banzon was designed to reduce the time and effort needed to
thresh rice, which significantly improved the efficiency of rice production in the Philippines.
The Banzon was also designed to be lightweight and portable, making it easier for farmers to
use and transport.
- In addition to his work on the Banzon, Banzon has made other significant contributions to
the field of agriculture and rural development in the Philippines. He has received numerous
awards and recognition for his contributions, including the Philippines' "National Scientist
Award for Agriculture."
- Banzon's work has had a positive impact on the lives of farmers and rural communities in the
Philippines, helping to improve their livelihoods and standard of living. He continues to be an
inspiration to future generations of scientists and inventors, and his work remains a
testament to the power of innovation to improve the lives of people around the world.

3. Luis Salvador
- He is a Filipino inventor who developed a low-cost, eco-friendly and highly-efficient air-
conditioning system that uses natural air instead of artificial refrigerants. This invention is
considered one of the most significant contributions to environmental sustainability in the
Philippines.
- Luis Salvador is a Filipino inventor who is best known for his work in developing a low-cost,
eco-friendly and highly-efficient air-conditioning system. The system uses natural air instead
of artificial refrigerants, making it a sustainable and environmentally responsible alternative
to traditional air conditioning systems.
- Salvador's invention was designed to address the increasing demand for air conditioning in
the Philippines, which is a country with a tropical climate. The air-conditioning system was
designed to be affordable and accessible to the masses, and its use of natural air instead of
refrigerants made it a more environmentally friendly option.
- In addition to his work on air conditioning, Salvador has made other significant contributions
to the field of environmental sustainability. He has received numerous awards and
recognition for his contributions, including the Philippines' "National Scientist Award for
Environmental Science."
- Salvador's work has had a positive impact on the environment and the lives of people in the
Philippines and around the world. He continues to be an inspiration to future generations of
inventors and scientists, and his work remains a testament to the power of innovation to
improve the lives of people and protect the environment.

4. Wilma Reading
- She is a Filipino inventor who developed a low-cost, portable and easy-to-use water testing
kit. This invention helps farmers and fisherfolks to determine the quality of water in their
irrigation systems, ponds and wells, and make informed decisions on their water usage.
- Wilma Reading is a Filipino inventor who is best known for her work on a low-cost, portable
and easy-to-use water testing kit. This invention is designed to help farmers and fisherfolks
to determine the quality of water in their irrigation systems, ponds and wells, and make
informed decisions on their water usage.
- Reading's water testing kit is simple to use and provides quick and accurate results, allowing
farmers and fisherfolks to make informed decisions about their water usage. The kit is also
portable and affordable, making it accessible to people in rural areas who may not have
access to more expensive and sophisticated water testing equipment.
- In addition to her work on the water testing kit, Reading has made other significant
contributions to the field of agriculture and rural development in the Philippines. She has
received numerous awards and recognition for her contributions, including the Philippines'
"National Scientist Award for Agriculture.”
