Rohingya Repatriation

Due to the 2017 Genocide Act in Myanmar’s Arakan State, more than a
million people were forced to leave their homeland (Arakan) and come
to Bangladesh. Rohingya refugees have been staying in Cox’s Bazar,
Bangladesh for more than six years in which has become the world’s
largest refugee camp. They have faced various crises in both Myanmar
and Bangladesh.

The main Rohingya case is still pending at the International Court of

Justice (ICJ) and the ICC and other legal courts without resolution. The
Rohingya are dependent on the international community and the ICJ,
ICC and other stakeholders. The Rohingya community is crying out for
justice from the international community but no one is responding to the
Rohingya Muslim minority’s demand for their rights.
The Myanmar government is delaying the repatriation process and they
have no sincerity in repatriation because if they are sincere, they must
resettle the IDPs in their own villages and homes. And they built refugee
camps in different areas of Maungdaw Township. This is totally
unacceptable on the part of the Rohingya refugees as it is not
repatriation but a camp relocation according to the entire Rohingya
community.

Rohingyas are seeking immediate repatriation to their country with all

their rights, justice, security and dignity.
