Arranged for violin and cello duo by Marcus Martin
Frank Bridge, 1879 - 1941, was an English composer,
viola player, and conductor particularly known for his chamber music and songs.
Bridge's music has been sadly underrated. A student
of Charles Villiers Stanford, he in turn became the teacher of Benjamin Britten. Although he composed in many genres, he was particularly successful in his smaller forms, such as the Phantasie Quartet for piano and strings (1910), and this attractive Spring Song which is taken from his H. 104, a collection of four small pieces for either violin or cello composed in 1912.
