A very warm welcome to everyone present here.

I am here to deliver a speech on

mother. Oh what an amazing word it is “mother”. It’s not just a word an emotion.

We have many people around us that we cherish. But, the most important, loved,
the pure and divine relationship is that of a mother and child.

I would like to quote Rudyard Kipling’s words here. He said, “God could not be
everywhere, and therefore he made mothers”. I truly believe these words of his.
We say that God created mankind but our mothers created us. A mother not only
gives us life but does our upbringing and also protects us. Thus, she is our God.

From the time when a mother conceives her child, she gets emotionally attached
to the child. A child is only the flesh and blood of her. She undergoes immense
pain while delivering a child. Yet, she can never see her child in pain or any
problem.

Our mother is our first teacher, Our mother is our first and best friend. Mother's
day is celebrated to make our mothers feel special and shower all our love on
her. Though it is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, every year, yet, we
should celebrate every day as Mother's Day to make our mothers feel special.

On this day, we show gratitude and love towards our mothers.

A mother dedicates her whole life to her children without expecting anything.
A mother make endless sacrifices for the success and happiness of her child.
She is the Goddess. Every mother has sacrificed for her child and is
undoubtedly still sacrificing and hence, we celebrate mothers day to express
our gratitude for her.

You will see that the greatest of people like Abraham Lincoln, even praise their
mothers. It just proves the undeniable role our mothers play in our lives. She is
the one who moulds her children as a person to make them capable of achieving
great things.

Thus, it is important to recognize and appreciate her for all that she does for us.
We often take our mothers for granted and forget her sacrifices. Nonetheless, that
does not deter her from loving us. She supports her children fiercely at every
stage of life, no matter how old they get.

Thus, it is important to not let this love and sacrifice go unnoticed and not just on
one particular day, but every day of the year

Today, I also take the opportunity to thank my mother and being grateful to her
and God for having me in her life.
