DESCRIPTIVE ESSAY

It is evident to keep in mind that the hosts try to inform or rather talk about the life of octopuses
on planet Earth, what their life cycle is like, the places where they can be easily found. What they
feed on, among other things, caught my attention and I found this podcast very interesting
because it focuses on these animals like I had never heard before, it is very interesting to know
about species that are very little researched and that one knows little about.

It caught my attention when one of the narrators said that octopuses were solitary animals, I really
had a very different outlook on them, and I had always believed that they were overprotective and
had a highly developed paternal and community instinct. It is also curious to know about These
feed on larvae when I thought they fed on other animals, they have the ability to feel emotions,
this animal is widely consumed in countries like China,

In many countries of the world it is not easy to find or purchase octopus meat in supermarkets like
any other animal, for example pork, chicken, cow, etc. Octopuses have a complex nervous system,
their behaviors have been studied.

The most characteristic feature of the octopus is the variety of methods it uses to avoid or deter
attacks from its predators. To move, it uses a mechanism that displaces water, which allows it to
propel itself at high speeds. It also has an ink tank that it uses to avoid the threats it faces in the
depths of the sea. One of its many advantages is its ability to hide in plain sight: using a network of
pigment cells and specialized muscles in its skin, the common octopus can almost instantly match
the colors, patterns and even textures of its environment. But if all else fails, the octopus may also
lose some arms to escape the predator's reach.

Conclusion octopuses are very interesting animals, intelligent, very rare, from a not very common
family, very important in the ocean and century of life, octopuses are very important in our
ecosystem.
