Script for DnD Adventure:

Wreckers

SCENE 1: Copper Flagen Tavern

Just like all great adventures, your quest begins at a tavern called the
copper flagen. It is a bustling venue filled with the many races which inhabit
the quaint coastal town of Hulberg. All of you have recently received a
notice from an anonymous client who seeks adventurers to investigate a
mysterious happening. Fortunately, your client, despite being rather
secretive with his identity, has reserved you a table at this well sought after
establishment. (Describe where the adventurers are). Being surrounded
by some unfamiliar faces, you find it proper to introduce yourselves to
establish repour?

Right as you are finished sharing your backstories with one another,
you spot a rugged middle aged man enter the tavern. (UNVEIL TOKEN)
He seems to be the type who barely sleeps and beats himself up over
work. You sense that the man is very tired but does an excellent job at
keeping his composure and robust poise. He walks to your table and takes
a seat.
(MOVE TOKEN)

“Ah adventurers, I’m glad you have come. I do apologize for the
anonymous notices as I do not want to be found by my enemies enlisting
work at this time. Nonetheless this tavern is my property and no enemies
are in sight so let me introduce myself. I am Mallon Marstel, the head of
the Marstel trading house and I come to you in a time of need . In the past
three months, my family business has lost two precious ships the Lydia
and the Gray Gull prized beauties of the trading company. Typically, we
only lose a ship every 2-3 years. To lose two ships in a span of a week is
truly a peculiar occurrence. Fortunately, my search parties have recently
turned up evidence of the Gray Gull in a rocky section to the west of the
town. Your task is to find any information about my lost crew and additional
information about Lydia. Before anything else here is the map to the
location of the Gray Gull and you two choices on how to reach this location,
I can provide you with boats and a crew to navigate the waters or you can
follow the land route which should be the faster and safer. My men simply
have surveying duty the follow day and I would like to hit two birds with one
Stone. Do not worry! I will pay you handsomely for this quest. Any
questions?”
“ So will you take the land route or sea route?”
“Alright I shall inform my men of this development, you are to meet a dwarf
named Bopeye Oakenshield at the docks at 9:30 am sharp. Do not be late”

“As there are no further questions, I would like to give you adventurers a
little something to aid in your adventure”

Mallon Marstel reaches for a fat pouch of health potions under a secret
compartment under the table. Each one of you gains one potion.. He also
tells the party that all of you receive free lodging in the copper flagen as he
prepares to leave. You are all INSPIRED by this act of kindness.

“Before I depart, there has been a strange sighting recently in the coast. A
strange light seems to appear during the night… but I don’t think it’s of any
importance. Might wanted to inform you.”
He leaves the copper flagen

What do you guys want to do?

“As you do all this you are approached by a peculiar old lady with a deform
face and a very meek voice”

“Helloow, are you the adventurers that man just hired. I heard a little
something about a lost ship. My name is sultha bloodwind and I would like

“The next day comes and as you walk through the coast. You are greeted
with a very peculiar set up”
(DESCRIBE THE SCENE REFER TO NOTES)

“As you emerge from that encounter. You are greeted with what looks like a
ship grave yard. The atmosphere is no longer calming to your senses the
party senses a looming danger. Can someone make me a Perception
check”

With a _________ you see a bunch of people trying to set up a huge tower
with a bright light. You also recall that your client did mention a bright light
emanating from the shore. You also hear this conversation

“Hurry Up! The boss wants this tower ready pronto before night fall”

“Yeaaaah butt we’re tirreeeed”

“Boss never feeds us anyway.. Just never shuts up about that Morkoth
Gn’Harra”
“Geez when will the boss ever treat us right”

“As you do this, the cultists look at you blankly with a very stern look in their
eyes.”

“Your plan of action does not seem to ease the tension. The cultists draw
their swords and the cult fanatic’s eyes start glowing blood red as he draws
up magical power. Everyone roll initiative”

“So what do you guys want to do?”

**FINAL SPIEL INCOMING**

“Hmph, so this is the ragtag of mishappen ruffians who took out all of my
men. Hmmmph. Not a loss at all. They’ll all make excellent minions as sea
spawn. You see. One should know that the work I do here is for the good of
all faerun. You adventurers are nothing but a stain on the balance of nature
as you take what you want and do as you please. Before you know it,
faerun will be overrun with your lot and its collective hubris will be its
downfall. There is no other alternative to solve this malignant disease than
a full cleansing. A return to our most basic primal home. The sea. Mind you
adventurers, none of you will survive the terrors I shall bring upon you”

“If you worship any Gods, start praying now.”
