WHAT IS FORMWORK AND FALSEWORK?
Formwork comprises the moulds and temporary structures used to hold and shape wet concrete until it sets. It has been used in
concrete construction since Ancient times, including in the construction of the Pantheon in Rome. Timber, plastic, aluminium and/or
steel formwork systems are used in the pouring of concrete slabs, including for floors, columns, walls, slab edges, ceilings, balconies,
staircases and ramps, etc. Formwork is generally temporary and removed once the concrete has cured. Good formwork practice often
enables formwork systems to be reused reducing time and cost.
Falsework comprises the structures, footings and foundations used to support a permanent structure until it is self-supporting. It
provides support for materials, plant, equipment and people while construction is underway, as well as formwork for in situ concrete,
prefabricated concrete and steel sections.

This high quality, structural Australian plywood is manufactured by Ta Ann Tasmania and holds EWPAA
and PEFC Chain of Custody certification. TPLY plywood panel is predominately produced from 100%
renewable Tasmanian log resource certified under PEFC Chain of Custody. It is graded as either
Eucalyptus hardwood or as a combination with softwood veneers. Its durable A-Type marine bond, hard
phenolic surface and high quality hardwood veneers offer an off-form Class 2 finish and make it durable
and reusable when used with good practice.

4Mply is a high quality film faced plywood manufactured to the structural requirements of AS/NZS 6669. It
also holds Benchmark and JAS-ANZ accreditation. Its high density, phenolic overlay helps protect the face
veneer and provides a smooth surface for poured concrete and durability for multiple uses. Panel edges are
sealed with acrylic paint to minimise moisture uptake.

Ecoply is manufactured by Carter Holt Harvey from sustainably-grown Australian and New Zealand plantation pine. It is a non film faced plywood available
with Structural or Non-structural ratings. With a range of uses throughout the building industry, it is commonly selected for uses such as bracing, non-
decorative interior linings such as floors and walls, temporary hoardings, general purpose construction and DIY projects. It is available in a range of surface
appearance grades and sheet thicknesses. Veneer quality C is a non-appearance grade with a solid surface, with all open defects, such as knot holes or
splits, filled and sanded. Veneer quality D is the lowest non-appearance grade of plywood with some open imperfections such as knot holes or splits.

sawn timber with stress grading F7 or better. It is moderately easy to work
with and sourced from environmentally sustainable plantation forests.

Merch Pine (Non-Structural Grade) is an Australian utility grade plantation pine used for non-structural applications. Machine Grade Pine (MGP10)

Stramit’s CONDECK HP composite decking is a 300mm wide, galvanised metal profile sheet used to
support suspended concrete floors in steel or concrete construction or over-loaded masonry walls. It
is a lightweight and efficient system that is easy to handle and cut on site. Its engineered ribs have
excellent spanning capacities making it suitable as lost formwork. Engineers can also take advantage
of its composite action to optimise slab design, thereby saving on concrete and reinforcement costs.

PROPPING
ROYAL STEEL PROP

ROYALprops provide a quick, easy, reliable and versatile temporary support in many construction applications. In falsework they are used under slabs/
beams, as raking shores for walls, and as temporary supports while forming columns, stair flights and other structures. Each prop consists of the
inner telescoping 48.3mm O.D. tube (with regularly spaced prop pin holes) that slides within the 60.3mm O.D. outer tube which is fitted with coarse
adjustable thread, a vertical slot on either side, and a heavy duty tough nut and long handle. These steel props have a load-bearing capacity of up to 35
kN (please refer to chart below).

PROP TRIPOD
The ROYALprop tripod is a hinged three-legged brace that fits many types of props and is used to hold
the prop in the vertical position while bearers, joists, plywood and/or a modular slab system is fitted
and braced above. It may be removed once the prop is tied off and braced.

placed through telescopic inner prop holes to sit on top of the prop nut and carry the weight of the load above.

SCAFFOLD COUPLERS
Scaffold couplers are fitted to scaffold tube to secure a prop. They brace inner to inner
props, or inner to outer props, with either fixed or swivel fittings depending on the
structural application which the scaffold tube and fittings require.
Standard Double (90 degree) Couplers (2”x2”) are used for coupling inner prop tube to
standard scaffold tube for horizontal bracing.
Standard Swivel Couplers (2”x2”) are used for coupling inner prop tube (48.3mm O.D.)
to standard scaffold tube for inclined bracing.
Double Reduction (90 degree) Couplers (3”x2” Fixed) are used for coupling outer prop
(60.3mm O.D) to standard scaffolding tube (48.3mm O.D) for horizontal bracing.
Swivel Reduction Couplers (3“x2“) are used for coupling prop outer tube (60.3mm O.D)

ROYAL WALL BRACING PROP

The ROYALbracing prop is a lightweight, diagonal wall brace made of long-lasting galvanised steel.
They provide quick and easy formwork solutions for bracing walls and columns and for installing
lightweight, pre-fabricated sandwich plasterboard and plastic walling systems panels, such as AFS,
Dincel, Rediwall, Ritek or similar. The diagonal brace maintains alignment of the forms, the vertical
element plumb and braces for the pressure of wet concrete.
The ROYALbracing prop has a top turnbuckle for quick adjustment and has top and bottom plates
with nail/screw fixing holes for quick assembly and dismantling.

CONDOR ALUMINIUM PROP

High capacity aluminium props, with a height of up to 6m and load-bearing capacity of up to 90kN, are lightweight and easy to use. They have a
special profile section on the outer onto which the bracing trestle fits to secure and brace. The inner has a continuous specific thread which allows
continual cleaning, preventing blockages of cement deposits.

ROYAL FRAME 50
ROYALframe50 is a lightweight, improved alternate formwork
shoring frame. It has galvanised tube legs, each with a 51mm
outside diameter and a safe work load (SWL) of 40kN. The
ROYALframe50 series is manufactured and certified to Australian
Standards using seamless steel tube for increased tensile
strength, pressure ratings and durability. When steel tube is rolled
and welded, the weakest point in the tube is the welded seam.
A seamless steel tube eliminates this weakness, so that tensile
strength is uniform around the circumference.
These frames are strong, light and easy to handle, making them
quick to assemble and dismantle. The 1500mm – 2400mm high
frames have three (3) horizontal bars, rather than the conventional
two (2), making it safer and easier to achieve safe working
platforms.
The frames are 1200mm wide, facilitating ease of transport.

Frames may be stacked in bundles and laid flat side by side to
fit within the 2400mm wide truck tray. The ROYALframe50 has
an additional drop latch pin to assist with on-site frame spacing
flexibility and is compatible with other manufacturers’ pin locations.

This special 900mm, slim width shoring frame has the same features and benefits as the standard 1200mm wide ROYALframe50. These
unique frames are strong yet lighter to handle, making them faster and easier to work with, and further reducing labour costs in assembling
and dismantling. These frames may be used as a standard shoring frame system with the additional advantage of being narrower, giving
the flexibility for assembly around restricted areas such as between narrow rooms, or pre-cast or prefabricated plasterboard or plastic wall
bracing, or within corridors and stair case landings. They are easy to handle and manoeuvre through and around corridors, stair cases, and
pre-cast/prefabricated wall bracing.
This 900mm wide frame is the perfect solution for quickly and easily creating a bracing bay on the modular slab panel system (i.e. the
1800mm x 900mm wide aluminium ROYALdek system). These slim frames use the same components as the ROYALframe50 (including jacks,

ROYAL JACK 50
The ROYALjack50 is an adjustable screw jack with an effective height of 580mm. It has a 40mm diameter coarse rolled thread, which is inserted into
the ROYALframe50 legs to give an SWL of 25-40kN. The ROYALjack50 tube is manufactured using seamless steel tube, which has the benefit of
increased tensile strength, pressure ratings and durability.
These jacks have the same load capacity as the conventional shoring jacks (48mm OD), however ROYALjack50s are lighter making them faster and
easier to use and handle than the conventional shoring jacks.
The ROYALjack50 is available with three (3) styles of heads: a Double U head, which fits two (2) bearers, a Single U Head, which fits one (1) bearer, or
as a flat jack. The flat jack plate has a 30mm diameter hole to allow a spigot to be inserted for a ROYAL U Head
Hat attachment to convert a flat jack into a U Head jack and also allows the ROYALdek Crown to be inserted to be
used for modular aluminium slab panels.
These jacks have a long-handled nut which gives better leverage to use and turn on the coarse thread making
it easier to adjust at assembly stage to the desirable height and quick to release when dismantling. The nut is
manufactured from cast steel for durability and reduced hammer impacts.
The ROYALjack50 is used throughout the ROYALframe50 series, the ROYALformstage system, (modular
scaffolding system) and the open-ended, 51mm OD vertical standards.

The ROYALspigot50 is a 40mm diameter frame connector, spigot or joiner, made from galvanised steel tube to be long lasting.
They are light and easily inserted into the legs of the ROYALframe50 to connect frames vertically so that the frames may be
added on top each other so that the falsework may be extended to the desirable strutting height. They are also used in the
ROYALformstage (modular formwork and scaffolding) system when joining open-ended vertical standards to achieve the
desirable strutting height.

The ROYALrocket50 is a simple and effective attachment used to extend the frame leg by either 300mm or 500mm. It is made
from galvanised steel tube, has a 51mm diameter and a welded 60mm OD outer sleeve, which slides over the top of frame
leg to maintain the leg’s vertical extension. The ROYALrocket50 is used to extend the ROYALjack50, reducing the need for
additional frames and base flat jacks and saving time and money.

The ROYALinner50 is a telescopic inner extension made from seamless galvanised tube (38mm outside diameter x 1100mm long)
with regularly spaced, 16mm diameter prop pin holes and a 150mm x 150mm base plate.
It acts as a telescopic frame leg extension for the ROYALframe50 that uses the frame holes to secure the inner extension. It is an
ideal solution for achieving greater height range and flexibility over the adjustable screw jacks for those higher strutting structures.
Using the ROYALinner50 may reduce or eliminate the need for additional frames and/or rockets.

ROYAL frame base plates are placed under the formwork shoring frame’s vertical legs. They distribute the load from vertical leg load-bearing
member to the supporting structure. They are fundamentally required to enable the falsework to remain stable, even when exposed to different load
combinations. They are used on flat surfaces where jacks are not required or on freshly laid concrete. Two
(2) types are available, including the base plate with spigot, which is secured under the leg during assembly,
or the flat base plate which may be slid under the frame’s leg after assembly.

The U Head hat is a versatile attachment into which the spigot fits. It fits into the top plate of the inner prop’s
head, and/ or the flat jack’s plate, creating a U shape (200mm x 200mmx 8mm) that fits over the flat 150mm
x 150mm plate to accommodate one or two 100mm wide timber bearers side by side, to act as a U Head.

ROYAL CANTILEVER BRACKET

The ROYALcantilever bracket is a fixed triangular support which is designed for supporting small
overhanging slabs. The bracket may be simply hooked onto the horizontal ledger bar and bearing on the
shoring frame leg of the ROYALframe50 or ROYALframe60. At the end of the triangle is a tubular end to
support an adjustable jack. An additional fixed angled spigot on the triangle allows for an additional prop
on angle to brace and support the bracket for extra support should it be required.

The ROYALframe60 is a heavy duty, conventional formwork

ROYALformstage is a steel modular metric scaffolding system, used as falsework and/or safety scaffolding. Ideally used as:
• Standard strutting falsework 1m to 3m heights;
• High strutting falsework 3m to 20m with safety catch decks;
• Scaffolding with edge protection for fall prevention; and
• Working platforms at heights from 1m to 20m in 500mm increments.
The system is quickly and easily installed and dismantled in a modular grid and can be used with either ROYALdek panels or conventional formwork.
Similar to Kwikstage scaffolding but with vertical standards that have a larger diameter (51mm) and a thick 4mm tube wall “V” welded at a nominal
500mm. The standards are open ended to enable the ROYALjack50 and the ROYALspigot50 to be inserted at varying heights. The system works on a
metric grid so that that ROYALdek panels may be directly installed over the standards without the use of beam supports. Alternatively, LVL beams can
support ROYALdek panels or the system can be used as a simple traditional timber and plywood formwork construction.
Standard Kwikstage horizontal components such as ledgers and transoms are compatible and may be used together with ROYALformstage as the
same “V” press sections are used for connections of wedges, thus making it even more user friendly.

FORMSTAGE SYSTEM MAIN COMPONENTS
FORMstage standards are made from galvanised tubing with a 51mm diameter, a thick 4mm wall and open ends. These
vertical supports are available at heights from 500mm to 2500mm in 500mm increments. ‘V’ pressed sections are welded
onto the tube to allow for easy interlocking of horizontal and diagonal components at various heights. The standards are
compatible with the ROYALspigot50 allowing for the use of U head and flat jacks.

ROYALDEK MODULAR PANEL SLAB SYSTEM

ROYALdek is an aluminium modular slab panel system. Its
streamlined simplicity provides a cost effective formwork solution
that uses fewer components, making it faster and safer to use,
requiring less storage space and reducing transportation costs.
The system is compatible with traditional Australian materials
and shoring systems, making it more flexible on site. Its versatility
reduces costs, as it may be used as either a modular system or for
traditional timber formwork.
The standard aluminium ROYALdek Panels are 1800mm x 900mm

x 150mm high. They are lightweight and easy to handle, as they
are aluminium framed with either plywood or plastic infilled form
face. The panel may be supported by five (5) various falsework
systems, including:
1. Props and crowns;
2. 900mm wide ROYALframe50 Slim, flat jacks and crowns;
3. Shoring frames and 150mm x 77mm LVL timber bearer with aluminium alligator teeth section;
4. ROYALformstage (formwork scaffold system) with flat jacks and crowns; or
5. ROYALformstage (formwork scaffold system) with 150mm x 77mm LVL timber bearer with aluminium alligator teeth section.
Panels are simply and safely erected and dismantled from below the slab over crowns and/or alligators teeth section on timber bearers. They
raised by the ROYALrod and supported by the ROYALprop.
The ROYALcrown attachment is secured into the ROYALprop and locked into position with the ROYALcliplockpin.
ROYAL has developed the fastest bracing bay system by incorporating a special 900mm wide ROYALframe50 and standard ROYALjack50 with
ROYALbraces.

This solution utilises conventional shoring frame towers with timber beams and panels
making it compatible with a variety of conventional falsework systems, saving time and
money. The ROYALframes are set-up in a grid and panels are simply installed from below
using platform ladders or planks, from mobile scaffold or scissor lifts. Panels may also be
used on high strutting falsework slabs using ROYALformstage.
ROYALdek panels are ideally used with ROYALformstage scaffold system for strutting
heights from 1.5m to 20.0m high. ROYALdek panels are lightweight and quick to

ROYALDEK CROWN
The ROYALcrown is a simple, cast-iron attachment used to support and secure the corners of a
ROYALdeck panel. It is easily inserted into:
• Props (including ROYALprop) or
• Flat jacks (including ROYALjack50)
The crown also supports the ROYALinfill beams which infill around columns/walls and join conventional
formwork decks to the ROYALdek system. The crowns are easily removed during stripping. Jacks and
props can be progressively wound to back-prop and hold the stripped concrete slab while upper floors
are being formed and poured.

ROYALDEK INFILL BEAM

Where the ROYALdek panel doesn’t fit due to the location of a column and/ or wall,
ROYALdek steel infill beams provide joist support for plywood patching and decking. They
are supported at the ends by crowns, allowing a joist and formply infill deck to easily close
off around the column and wall infill.
They are available in two (2) lengths: 900mm and 1800mm.

ROYALdek alligator is an aluminium toothed section, which slips over a standard formwork LVL bearer as
supported on the conventional shoring frames. This tooth section secures the panels tightly into position to
prevent slurry loss. With the use of these alligators, panels may be used at any slab height.

falsework below. This allows two timber bearers to be line and butt jointed, increasing

ROYALrib dek is a lightweight modular aluminium rib structure. The aluminium ribs have nail insertion points
and are spaced 100mm apart, making it safe to walk on when un-sheeted. The rib frame panel is safely
secured from below and film faced plywood is fastened on-site with nailing strips to obtain a smooth concrete
finish. The nailing strips do not pierce the aluminium with nail holes, increasing its life span.
The design allows for easy extension and patching with LVL between ribs. Ideal for use in exposed, off-form
soffit areas such as carparks and balconies, where selected plywood sheeting is fixed on site.The ROYALrib dek
may either be used with props and a unique drophead system or on a ROYALframe grid pattern.

ALUDECK
ALUDECK is a formwork system comprised of framing beams, aluminium panels, drop-heads or fixed-heads and a crevice cover. Drop-heads have
a quick-release locking system: the head goes into the prop and gets locked. To unlock, simply drop the prop. Advantages over standard systems
include the need for fewer props, reducing assembly time, and increasing manageability. Using the drop heads makes it easy to dismantle, remove
and recycle panels and beams in a short time, reducing the amount of materials on-site, and the cost of transport and storage.
The system is made of extremely light, high resistance aluminium. Being a standard-module system, it is not necessary to calculate the distance
between props, nor the inter-axe between beams.

The ROYAL Z Bar is a high tensile steel
Dywidag threaded rod system used to tie
wall forms together. It has a coarse, rounded
thread for speed of use and easy cleaning. The Z

ROYAL Z BAR WING NUTS

The ROYAL Z Bar cast iron wing nut is used in the formation of walls. They are
designed to spin freely on the high speed course Dywidag thread by hand and may
be tightened using the length of a hammer. They are available with either a single or
double arm. The single arm provides resistance to movement during vibration whereas
the balanced double arms make it easier to turn when fitting and removing.

ROYAL Z BAR ROCK ANCHOR EXPANSION SHELL

The Z Bar Tie Anchor Expansion Shell is used for single-sided formwork shutters or for temporary tie-downs into
concrete. The anchor has a shell length of 105mm which is inserted into a 32mm diameter hole. A 15/17mm Z
bar is screwed tightly into the anchor shell until fully expanded. It is thread tested for a MWL 90kN.
NB. Client is to obtain Engineer’s advice to determine anchor depth and pull-out load.

ROYAL CONDUIT
The ROYAL Conduit is a plastic spacer tube through which the Z bar feeds. Grout is prevented
from entering the tube, allowing the Z bar to be easily removed when stripping the forms. They
are supplied in full lengths and are cut down to the wall’s thickness and a cone is attached on
each end. Tubes have an O.D of either 25mm or 27mm. The 25mm tube uses the plastic push
in-and-fit cones whereas the cone fits on the outside of the larger 27mm tube.

2 BAR STANDARD COIL TIE SPRINGS

Two (2) bars are welded to the coil tie springs which screw onto
removable plastic cones to set the desirable width of the concrete
wall to be formed. Coil tie bolts are screwed on either end to
secure the wall shutters together. On completion, the coil tie cones
are removed, leaving a neat hole in the concrete’s face.
4 BAR HEAVY DUTY COIL TIE SPRINGS

Four (4) bars are welded to coils giving greater strength than the two (2) bar springs. They
are used to space coil ties in the concrete further apart, to use fewer coil ties in a wall and
are ideal for matching an architectural pattern on the finished wall. Four (4) bar coil tie
springs allow coil ties to be used as an architectural feature.
Coil Tie springs remain buried in the concrete, creating an effective water barrier.

Strong, course, threaded bolts, with hexagonal head for positive contact can be fixed easily and quickly. They are used with steel washer plates and screwed

PLASTIC COIL TIE CONES

These removable PVC cones are threaded onto the coil tie spring to complete the tie and seal the hole to prevent concrete leakage. The cone also acts as
a spacer of the concrete’s wall thickness. The cones are easily removed from the recessed hexagonal form with ROYAL’s cone removal spanner and are
suitable for multiple reuse.

Once concrete forms are removed, cone keys are used to remove the cones from the concrete without damaging either the concrete or the cone.
Two (2) types of cone key spanners are available:
1. The cone bolt spanner is designed to tighten and release the coil tie bolt in the form while the opposite side
provides the hexagonal key to turn and remove the cone;
2. The cone bolt spanner combo removes three (3) types of cones – the coil tie spring cone, the standard Z bar

ROYAL Column Clamps are used in the construction of square and rectangular concrete columns.
The flat bars have cupped ends and staggered slots, providing for extensive adjustment within
the range of each clamp. The simple wedge connection provides for quick assembly and

ROYALshutterhooks are crane lifting hooks/lugs which attach to formwork timber shutters. Designed and
manufactured from steel section with a large round ring for crane hooks to be easily hooked. Each lug is
certified for a SWL of 500kg and is easily bolted to timber components to lift formwork shutters in and
out of position for safe and high productivity. Independent testing/tagging is required annually and shutter
design is by contractor’s engineer. Fits between twin vertical soldiers and has multiple bolt holes located

COMAX WALL FORMWORK

COMAX is a high-performance modular wall formwork system used to create
concrete columns and walls. It is versatile, robust and adaptable for both small and
large construction sites. It has been designed to be quick crane handled for fast
and safe production. Panels can be positioned both vertically and horizontally, and
quickly connected with clamps and Z bar ties. The steel-framed panels may be
powder-coated or galvanised and have a high twisting resistance. The panels allow for the use of push-pull props and pouring platforms with handrails
and the system is easy to maintain for multiple reuse. It has a pouring capacity of fresh concrete casting pressure rate of 80kN/m2.

ROYAL TUBE PVC COLUMN FORMS
ROYALtube is formed to the desired size from a specially designed plastic profile by
RIBLOC, with a unique snap joint lock. The specialised machine creates a continuous
helically wound, high performance tube ready for concrete.
SIZE: 250mm - 2000mm diameter. Refer to table below for safe pour heights.

Classes of Finish
There are two (2) finishes that can be achieved;
• Spiral Class 3 – which will show a spiral line on the finished column used for Jetty Piers, Bored Pier Liners and Bridge Voids ; or
• Architectural Class 2 – the tube is lined with a rigid plastic sheet to give an ultra-smooth finish to the column. (Depending on the diameter of
the column, one or more vertical lines will appear where the liner is joined), used for columns
Storage
ROYALtube Columns should be stacked vertically out of direct sunlight. It is recommended that Architectural Class 2, lined columns are protected
from wet weather and prolonged sunlight, as the moisture and sun will degrade the fibreglass tape used to secure the lining to the tube. Where
columns are to be stored horizontally, please ensure the following steps are taken;
• The ground must be flat, even and clear of debris;
• ROYALtube Column stacks should not exceed 1.5m in height; and
• ROYALtube Columns made from Heavy-duty Profile 140 should not be stored on top of the Standard Profile 98.
Profiles
ROYALtube Columns can be manufactured in to the Standard P98 Profile or the Heavy-Duty P140 Profile.
• P98 has a 98mm diameter and 5.5mm thick ribs
• P140 has a 140mm diameter and 14mm thick ribs
Installation
Both the top and bottom of the column must be secured into their designated positions. Typically, the base of the ROYALtube Column is secured by
surrounding it with four (4) equally spaced 4x3 timbers fixed into the floor slab. The top of the column is secured by the soffit formwork (formply).
Where there is no soffit formwork it is recommended that a “dummy” soffit be erected and back-propped using ROYALprops. Bracing is also
recommended for column tubes ≥3.5m tall with diameters larger than 450mm.
Please note: ALL ROYALtube Columns must stand with the arrow pointing upwards.
ROYALtube Columns are braced according to accepted industry practice. Bracing ensures the columns remain straight and reduces the chances of
bowing during pouring. It is especially important with tall, small diameter columns.
Stripping
Two (2) commonly used methods of stripping ROYALtube Columns are:
• Unwinding – Use a strong knife and pliers to break the spiral lock at the top of the column and unwind it by pulling it away from the concrete
column. Once started, the unwinding can be easily be continued by hand.
• Slab Stripping – Use an angle grinder or something similar to cut the ROYALtube Columns from top to bottom. They will spring them free from
the concrete. This method is typically quicker than unwinding, but if you cut too deep you will leave score marks on the finished column.

ROYALtube Columns are custom made to the sizes ordered. Please check with individual branches if stock lengths are available.

ROYALtube Columns are ordered by specifying the diameter and length and whether lining is required. The height of the concrete pour will
determine which profile will be used.
NOTE: The rate of concrete pour affects the load on the formwork. Please refer to the ROYALtube Chart below for the maximum height of column
that can be poured. This information aims to give general guidance to experienced Formworkers in the use of ROYALtube PVC Columns. It should

The Screedmaster chair is an adjustable, multipurpose plastic chair used to
hold suspended formwork for set downs, rebates and steps on concrete slabs.
The Screedmaster chair is designed to hold forms on metal decks and/or
conventional formwork decks. The base can be fastened down using staples,
nails or screws. It has an adjustable threaded height range of 125mm - 245mm
and is lightweight yet sturdy and can be left in the concrete.

FORM RELEASE OIL
ROYAL Mould oil is a bond-preventing formwork release agent applied as a thin coating to formwork prior to
concrete pour to prevent sticking or concrete build-up and to ensure clean stripping. This results in minimum
cleaning, and instant re-use. It protects wooden forms/ formply from water and alkalis, preventing grain raising and
breakdown of wood fibres, thus extending useful life. Applied by fine spray or applied by brush, or cloth.

POLYSTYRENE VOID FORMERS

Polystyrene is inexpensive, versatile and easy to use. Void Formers are used to fill in empty areas
beneath a ground concrete slab pour to reduce the volume of concrete required whilst maintaining the
overall strength of the slab. They are also used to create void areas where conventional formed areas

ROYAL RIB MESH

Permanent steel ROYALrib Mesh is used to create construction joints and stop-ends in poured concrete. It may be
positioned before fixing any reinforcement, and is stiffened by V-shaped ribs for strength. The reinforcement bars can
be pushed through the mesh at any location. There is no need to strip and remove the mesh or to scabble the concrete
surface after the pour. This saves the mess and time-consuming hassle of cleaning after using plywood to form the
construction joint.

PENETRATION MESH
Galvanised steel welded mesh sheets are used to safely cover open slab penetrations during construction.
They are generally cut to size and fitted within a formed slab penetration box. The mesh overhangs
the sides of the penetration box and is cast into the concrete slab. Once the concrete cures and slab
penetrations are stripped, slab penetration mesh cast in the concrete slab safeguards any persons and/or
equipment by preventing them from falling through slab penetration.

The FOSROC RENDEROC range comes in a ready to use blend of dry powders. Simply add clean water on site
to produce a highly consistent cementitious repair mortar.
FOSROC RENDEROC FC – Fairing mortar screed, polymer modified (0mm – 3mm thick) applied in thin layers
with a trowel to smooth and repair surface imperfections.
FOSROC RENDEROC HB – General purpose, economical, lightweight patch repair mortar for the reinstatement
of large areas of concrete and for small, localised repairs. Its alkaline nature protects embedded steel

concrete where low permeability and high compression strength is required. Engineered for the repair of columns

FOSROC RENDEROC LA55 – High performance, free flowing, low alkali, micro concrete reinstatement mortar for large structural sections of concrete and smaller
