Redefining Beauty Nutrition Through Ancient Wisdom
1. Scientific

Our ancestors got their healing belief from their surroundings, such as
plants and spices to maintain health and fitness, prevent, and cure some
diseases. Indonesia has their own special terms for their herbs called
jamu, an Indonesian traditional drink made of plants and spices. Lately,
herbs are discovered to have various pharmaceutical activities thus
evolving as herbal medicine. As we all know, herbal medicine has been
used to cure a lot of health problems, including beauty.

The nutricosmetics are products and ingredients that act as nutritional

supplements to care for skin, nails, and hair natural beauty. They work
from the inside to promote beauty from within. Apart from that, another
field of study is learning about the systematic monitoring of the safety of
cosmetics in terms of human health. Cosmetovigilance is important,
especially for pharmacy, to evaluate the safety of natural beauty nutrition.

Learning about implementation of development of technology about
herbal as nutricosmetic and ingestible beauty

Besties with Bacteria: Probiotics for Digestive System
2. and Preventing Antibiotic Resistance
Scientific

Probiotics are defined as ‘living microorganisms’ that are becoming

increasingly popular in a wide range of food applications because these
are beneficial to the host's health, when applied adequately. Some of the
commonly used probiotic bacteria include Lactobacillus, Bifidobacteria,
and the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii. There is a large quantity of
experimental evidence to support the health benefits of probiotics, which
primarily involves regulation of gastrointestinal disorders.

The issue of digestive system diseases and antibiotic resistance is a fairly

large problem throughout the world. This has raised concern about the
continued efficacy of antibiotics in human medicine. To counteract the
spread of antibiotic resistance, first and foremost the inappropriate use of
antibiotics should be reduced. One of the alternative treatments that
already exist today and can be high potential treatments are probiotics.

So, in this symposium we will discuss the role of probiotics in maintaining

the digestive system and preventing antibiotic resistance. In addition, we
will also discuss the development of probiotic treatment in the future.
