What we do…
Temperature Technology Ltd (TTL) stock and supply all the
component parts and production equipment that manufacturers
need to produce temperature sensors.
TTL do not manufacture any sensors in order to not compete with
our customers.
Our history…
TTL has been trading since Oct 2001 and Managing Director, Steven Riddett, has
nearly 30 years experience and knowledge of the sensor industry.
What makes us different…

Price – With various manufacturing plants around the world TTL can offer
excellent pricing and will always try to beat prices offered elsewhere.
Quality – TTL’s products are extremely high quality and most are available with
test certification.
Delivery – With 2 large warehouses in the UK we should always have

standard parts in stock. Delivery within Europe and around the world is rapid and
competitively priced.
Service – Our aim is to be a ‘one stop shop’ for manufacturers which avoids the
costs and problems of buying from multiple sources.

Our Thermowells are available in a variety of materials and sizes that may not be listed.

Thermowells are provided to protect the basic sensor from Welding (tig welding) the Thermowell is performed by professional
mechanical damage and corrosion. welders following practice laid down in the ASME code and weld
Materials available are brass, SS304, SS316, SS316L, SS310, Inconel joints can be tested up to 600 kg/ cm2
600, Incoloy 800, Monel, and Hastelloy.
Bore concentricity within 10% of wall thickness can be checked by
a) Bar Stock Threaded (Process threads NPT, BSP or Metric) radiography. Special material tests such as ultrasonic test for flaw
b) Bar Stock Flanged (Flanges as per ANSI, BS or DIN) detection are also available. For steam/ feed water service, an IBR

Ceramic Cement & Fibre Rope

Ceramic Cement +1600 degrees application
The cement is a two component system comprising of Cement and Binder. The mix ratio is
approximately 75% by weight cement, 25% by weight binder.
These can be purchased separately or as a package (3kg cement to 1kg binder).
The two should be mixed together to a consistency similar to honey and then applied to the
outer surface of the ceramic tube. The mix can also be applied to the ID of the holding tube
(generally Stainless Steel) and the ceramic tube inserted. For best results mild heat can be
applied to the holding tube to dry the mix. The cement becomes hard and ready to use as
soon as it dries. Drying can be done as fast as 30 minutes.

Fibre Rope
The fibre can be tied onto the ceramic tube before
fixing onto the metallic tube prior to sealing with
cement. It is made up of long ceramic fibres woven
to form a string.
The thermal stability of these fibres is fairly good up
to 12000C which is sufficient for this application as the
Stranded Ceramic Rope string is used at the cold end where the ceramic tube
is held on to the stainless steel tube.

RTMI Sub Assemblies
• Mineral insulated (MI) sub-assembly PT100 resistance thermometers provide a quick and low cost effective
way for sensor manufacturers to produce complete assemblies.
• The sensor manufacturer simply takes the part built RTD and fits it into a handle, pot seal, terminal head etc.
to complete the sensor eliminating the necessity for expensive welding equipment and workshop machinery.
• All part built MI RTDs are supplied in a 4-wire configuration in either Class A or Class B tolerance. The
operating temperature range is from -50°C to +500°C and the sheath material is 316 grade stainless steel.
• Termination is an epoxy seal (100°C) with 20mm of Nickel element tails for connection to extension wires.
• Each probe is calibrated and supplied with the Ω value at 0°C etched on the sheath along with the
manufacturing date and traceability code.

SR80 Bench Model
The SR-80 is a universal capacitance discharge welder specifically designed for the
fast and efficient production of thermocouple measuring junctions and other fine
wire welds. Three selectable power ranges are provided allowing for fine adjustment
of the weld power. This is particularly useful when welding very fine wires. Wires of
dissimilar and similar metals including copper can be welded.
A wait lamp with interlock is fitted to prevent the user from using the welder until the
current set charge is reached, a facility for connecting Argon is provided for use when
very clean welds are required e.g. when welding platinum wires; and a footswitch is

Terms and Conditions of Sale
1. GENERAL. Any terms on purchaser’s order forms at variance with or additional to these terms and conditions of sale shall not
apply unless agreed in writing by us.
2. ACCEPTANCE. Your acceptance of our offer includes agreement to the following terms and conditions.
3. PENALTY. No orders containing penalty clauses will be accepted without prior written agreement. An agreed surcharge may be
applied.
4. AVALABILITY. All materials are offered subject to being unsold.
5. PRICES. We reserve the right to amend prices in accordance with any current government counter-inflation legislation and to
invoice at prices ruling at the date of dispatch. All prices are normally quoted, unless specified otherwise, as net with carriage
and VAT charged extra. A minimum carriage charge of £2 will be applied.
6. ERRORS OR OMISSIONS. Every care is taken in the preparation of documents, but we reserve the right to correct any errors or
omissions should they occur.
7. DELIVERY. Every effort is made will be made to deliver within the period stated. No responsibility will be accepted for any loss or
other consequence caused by failure to deliver by the stated date. The company reserves the right to dispatch any part order
as it is completed and to invoice such deliveries in accordance with the terms stated.
8. DAMAGE IN TRANSIT. Notification must be made in writing to us and the carrier within three days of receipt otherwise no claim
can be accepted.
9. NON DELIVERY. We must be notified in writing within 14 days from the date of invoice otherwise no claim(s) can be accepted.
10. RETURNING GOODS. Once delivered, no goods may be returned to us without prior written consent. Subject to our approval,
products may be returned in an unused condition within 30 days of the invoice date, stating relevant invoice number in order
for the purchaser to be eligible for any refund. An agreed handling charge will be applied, with a minimum charge of £2.
11. TERMS OF PAYMENT. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, settlement terms for account customers are strictly net monthly
account. Accounts payable by sterling cheque drawn on a British bank. Other forms of payment will only be accepted if prior
written agreement is obtained from Temperature Technology Ltd.
12. CREDIT APPROVAL. All orders are accepted subject to credit approval.
13. PERFORMANCE. Whilst every care is taken in manufacture we accept no responsibility for any consequential loss (however
caused) through the failure of any products to operate accurately and correctly.
14. PATENTS AND REGISTERED DESIGNS. We give no warranty that the goods will be free from any claim of third parties by way
of infringement with respect to patent or trademark infringement. When work is done in accordance with the purchaser’s
specifications the purchaser shall indemnify the seller against all damages, penalties, costs and expenses to which the seller
may become liable arising out of any action for infringement of any patent, trade mark or registered design resulting from such
work.
15. Safety. The purchaser undertakes to ensure compliance by his employees with any safety precautions or instructions given by
us for the safe use of our products.
16. Cancellation. The company reserves the right to recover from the purchaser all costs incurred in relation to the order up to the
time of cancellation. No order may be cancelled by the purchaser except with our agreement in writing.
17. Certificates of Conformance. Any certificates of conformance or materials certificates must be requested at the time of
ordering. No charge is normally made for these.
