a) Waves continually shape the coastline by eroding, transporting, and depositing material. The
Waves erode the rock by hammering into the cracks at high temperature (hydraulic action)
dissolving any soluble material (solution) and flinging pebbles and sand at it, which scrape it
away(abrasion).
