▪ ColdStar provides multiple sizes & flexibility of Passive Cold Chain boxes of various Dimensions,
Volume & Validity
▪ In order for these Passive Cold Chain boxes to perform we need to follow a process which is
called as Pre-conditioning and Conditioning

Conditioning
It is a process wherein the Coolants (Gel Packs)have to be stored in a particular temperature
(depending upon the desired temperature of the solution) for a certain number of hours (which
will defer as per Size, Dimension and Vendor of the Passive Shipper). This a long process where the
coolant has to be stored for around 48 to 72 hours
Pre- Conditioning
This is process or and SOP defined by the vendor where in a certain number of Coolants (Gel
Packs) pertaining to the particular box have to taken and kept for a certain Temperature for around
30 mins, 60min or 90 minutes depending on the box to be used. This process is followed before

packing the box.
Packing the Passive Cold Box
Based on the SOP given by the vendor the placement of the frozen/ Chilled Coolants(Gel Packs)
will have to be placed as per diagrammatic representation of the Cold Chain Passive shipper.
