(ஹஸ்ஸிப் அஹமத் உரை)

1. அகர முதல எழுத்தெல்லாம் ஆதி

பகவன் முதற்றே உலகு.

(Aghara mutual ezhuthellaam aadhi bhagavan mudatre uzhaghu

Explanation :

அகர முதல எழுத்தெல்லாம்(Aghara mutual ezhuthellaam):-

From the first letter(this life refers to the first letter in the Tamil language but it is the same for all
languages), 'A'.

ஆதி பகவன்(Aadhi bhagavan):-

God(or the supreme being with the knowledge of everything).

முதற்றே உலகு(Mudatre uzhaghu):-

The first one.

The full meaning:-

God(or the supreme being with the knowledge of everything) is the first reason for everything
that happens as the first letter in every language.

A Story:-
There was once a man who came to meet a sadhu early in the morning and asked him, " Why is
life so worthless and sorrowful? " the sadhu said, " I don't know why you feel so hopeless about
life. So, tell me, what happened? "
" Swami, I had started drinking alcohol a few years ago and I soon got addicted to it. After four
years I felt that what I was doing was wrong and I felt guilty for what I did and stopped. But after
about a year, some form of distraction or disturbance made me drink again. I tried very hard for
almost six months to stop, but it continued until it brought me here. Swami, please say some
poem or some practice to stop this habit, forever. " The sadhu remained quiet as he was
fidgeting with his beard, for a minute or two, then he said, " Do you believe God? "
" Not anymore. "
" Why? "
" Because… because I prayed a lot but nothing happened. I begged God to save me, but, it was
of no use. "
" Then, why did you come here? "
" Because, you don't talk like you know 'a fake' Swamiji, but, what you say makes sense and is
very true. "
 " You can go home now, and come back tomorrow. All I have to tell you is that even I….. Was
like you. " He then closed his eyes and said, "Now don't say a word and just leave. "
Then the man went home without saying a word and kept on scratching his head thinking why
can't he be like the sadhu and why did he start drinking and wasn't feeling hungry until 11 pm
when he ordered a pizza for dinner, ate it and went to bed, he didn't drink the whole day.
The next day, he went to the same sadhu and asked him, " You were too addicted, weren't you?
" Then the sadhu replied, " I wasn't. "
" What? "
" Yes, I wasn't. "
" Why did you lie? "
" Before everything, did you drink yesterday? "
" No."
" See. "
" See what? "
" That one lie didn't make you drink for a whole day. "
" Okay, now what? "
" You told me 4 years ago you had started drinking. But, you didn't tell me what made you do so.
"
" My friend tempted me. "
" So god was testing you. "
"What? "
" See, life is a teacher your soul is a student and god is like a school. Temptation, you see, is
like an exam. If you fail, you have to struggle. When you said you lost belief in God it wasn't you
who lost belief it was God who lost his confidence on you. He tested you, you failed and he
thought you can struggle and come up again. This shows that God is the first reason for every
single thing happening in his creation. Do you understand? "
"Yes Swami, I understand. From now I will follow God and will pass the test. Thank you" He
stands up and leaves the place.
 2. கற்றதனால் ஆய பயனென்கொல் வாலறிவன்
நற்றாள் தொழாஅர் எனின்.

(Kattrathanaal aye payanenghol vaazharivaan nattraal thozhaar yenin)

கற்றதனால் ஆய பயனென்கொல்(Kattrathanaal aye payanenghol) :-

The benefits of learning.

வாலறிவன்(Vaazharivaan):-
Knowing

நற்றாள்(Nattraal) :-
God(or the supreme being with the knowledge of everything)

தொழாஅர்(Thozhaar):-
Pray, worship or respect(thozh).
Not(aar).

எனின்(Yenin):-
What.

The full meaning:-

though a person understands the benefits of knowledge, it is of no use if that person doesn't
worship the supreme being with the knowledge of everything(or God).

A Story:-
There was once a man named Varun. He was a man who topped in academics, the rank holder
in his college, and was a well-known physicist who had stated many laws in physics. Though he
had abundant knowledge, he didn't believe in God and didn't believe in prayers but believed that
everything has a logical explanation behind it.
As he was working on making a time machine after a lot of experimentations and observations,
he managed to find a way to time travel to the past and to the future. But he wouldn't be visible
to anyone and he cannot touch anything there. Before he told anyone about it he used it to
travel to the past to see how his parents look one day they passed away.
He had turned on the machine, put on the helmet and started the travelling. He was travelling
for a few seconds and then all of a sudden something happened that corrupted the machine and
before he knew he was inside a huge void where there was no light, darkness was his only
companion there. He was shocked and didn't know what was happening. He shouted like a
lightning string, " Help! Help! " He was hopeless. He started shredding tears but the tears just
disappeared as the first dropped from his eye. When the third drop had dropped and
disappeared he realized something that his helmet wasn't there. He looked down to realise he
 had no clothes and was naked. Then suddenly the whole void lit up to show some person
standing there with no face. He turned around and saw an array of places of worship. He
observed that there were no shadows for any of those buildings. Suddenly a voice from behind,
“Are you okay my son?” Varun turned back to see no one
 3. மலர்மிசை ஏகினான் மாணடி சேர்ந்தார்
நிலமிசை நீடுவாழ் வார்.

(Malarmisai yekinaan manadi serinthar nilamisai needuvaazh vaar)

Explanation :

மலர்மிசை ஏகினான மாணடி சேர்ந்தார்(Malarmisai yekinaan manadi serinthar) :-

If God is staying in the flower called heart(or consciousness)(which is inside a slave(all of us are
God's slaves)).

நிலமிசை நீடுவாழ் வார்(Nilamisai needuvaazh vaar) :-

Will live for a long time.

The full meaning:-

If God is staying in one's heart(I.e. if he believes in god and prays) he shall live for a long time.
