Application Support Engineer

About our open position:

 The role will be part of a new established application support global team. The team is responsible for
onboarding and support of a collection of applications (grouped under the internal name: Connected Deals
Experience).

Responsibilities:

 Monitoring and resolution of tickets (incidents/requests);


 Troubleshooting environment/application issues, code deployments in managed environments (production
and production like);
 Build automation, guide product teams, propose and implement optimizations.

To ensure success in this role, you need the following experience and skills:

 Using tools like Azure DevOps/VSTS, validate requirements, deploy, and troubleshoot deployments of code
and technologies in stage and production environments;
 Kubernetes experience or Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS);
 Containerization (e.g. Docker) experience;
 Experience creating Linux shell scripting or PowerShell scripting;
 Splunk (write queries and understand the data returned), Data Dog;
 Demonstrating communication skills and the ability to drive continuous performance improvements with the
stakeholders, vendors and technology subject matter specialists;
 Establishing a stable, reliable secure and high performing data platform;

 Building, maintaining and controlling stage and production environments;
 Troubleshooting incidents in stage and production environments;
 Being proactive in monitoring and alerting capabilities exist for all components of the platform/product;
 Establishing system health and capacity is reviewed and enhanced as needed;
 Documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and performing knowledge transfer to others;
 Demonstrating fluency in at least one development language such as Java, PHP or Python;
 Managing Azure / AWS / GCP or distributed VMware environments;
 Demonstrating knowledge of database technology such as. MySQL, MS-SQL, or PostgreSQL;
 Working with code management tooling such as GitHub or Gitlab;
 Possessing knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tooling and deployments;
 Experience with low-code/no-code, power apps;
 Demonstrating Linux and Windows administration experience;
 Possessing experience in configuration management across a multi-platform estate such as Ansible, Puppet
or Salt.

Requirements:

 Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree;


 Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years;
 Certification(s) Preferred: ITIL Certification(s), AZ900, AZ104.
