1. Motivation:

2. Lesson Proper
Carpentry Tools:
Hammer: A fundamental tool used for driving nails and adjusting wooden components.
Saw: Different types of saws, such as handsaws, circular saws, and jigsaws, are used for
cutting wood into various shapes and sizes.
Chisel: Chisels are sharp-edged tools used for carving, shaping, and cutting wood by hand.
Plane: Planes are used to smooth and shape wooden surfaces, removing thin layers of wood
to achieve the desired finish.
Drill: Drills are used to create holes in wood. They can be hand-powered or electric, allowing
for various hole sizes and depths.
Measuring Tape: Essential for accurate measurements, carpenters use measuring tapes to
ensure precision in their work.
Level: Levels are used to determine if a surface is horizontal (level) or vertical (plumb),
ensuring straight and balanced construction.
Square: Carpenters use squares to mark right angles accurately, aiding in precise cuts and
joints.
Clamps: Clamps hold pieces of wood together securely, allowing glue to dry or screws/nails to
set properly.
Router: Routers are power tools used for hollowing out an area in wood, creating decorative
edges and intricate designs.
Nail Gun: Nail guns are powered tools that drive nails into wood quickly and efficiently, saving
time and effort compared to manual nailing.
