INDIVIDUAL WORK:

Give a situation in your past experiences wherein you think you were able to perform the given
management skills

-As one of the former student leader, I was able to manage in being an example to my members
before as the RLE group leader way back on my first year. I made sure that everyone is working
efficiently and to provide necessary support when it comes to doing the task that I have assigned
to them, I was also able to establish a good rapor among my members and had built a good
environment where everyone benefit, academically and socially. As I have laddered my success,
I was also the former treasurer of the PNMSA I was able to manage my time academically and to
establish a good status among my peers and accomplish all responsibilities and to religiously
excel in giving my best efforts in everything that I do for the department of college of nursing
and midwifery. As my skills were furtherly enhanced, I was also appointed as the Supreme
Student Council secretary during my third year in the first semester and the vice president
during the second semester, during my reign I was able to establish a great communication skill
in terms of handling and addressing different problems and concern among the student body.
Thru this opportunity I was able to enhanced my computer literacy in writing formal letters,
reports, invitation etc., and to make a full blast of my voice for the student body and to use my
voice to host during the school events. Despite of all the challenges I have faced during my time
being a student leader, I have also had my failures, personal problems, academic problems,
financial problems. One thing I have learned is on how to set aside your personal life from work
balance life. Some may say it is called being a two face but I strongly believe that it is a vital
virtue especially knowing the values an individual with holds to perform efficiently in the work
place and to resolve problems in a responsible manner. Because without one’s values and virtue
one may loose sight on the big picture. The goal is to grow and life is not a race. Life would
always be unfair and unjust and change is constant, Bare in mind that there would always be
changes one may come prepared or not it can be an advantage or disadvantage but remember to
always know how to place your card in the right time. Long term goals takes time and short term
goal takes time too yet aiming for the same goal. Despite all glory comes with a great price it is
up the beholder on how he/she would carry a burden or a gift.
