As I walk the streets of my city, I enjoy seeing the huge buildings. I enjoy walking down the
streets of Toronto. But when I turn my eyes in another direction, I see a person in need. I try to
give them as much as I can but I always wish I could do something more. So, in this letter, I am
going to talk about the issues and suggestions about homelessness in Toronto.
In a news story on the CBC that came out last year, you said that “They wouldn’t have to be
living in parks and shelters, and they'd be able to rebuild their lives, raise their families, and live
in a safe and warm house this winter.” As you can probably tell, you have great ideas, but as a
person living in a city with a high rate of homelessness, I just cannot see the results.
I want to see results. I want to see my city as a place of happiness. My suggestion is that you
bring more attention to a problem that is still growing bigger to this day. The problem is not just
that people have no place to rest. The problem is that you are not paying attention to what is
happening in our city. Please consider my suggestion.
With all due respect and sincerity,
