is expected to transform data into products and services which have commercial
relevance.

Data Product Manager is expected to take ownership of data collection, management

and dissemination functions. This role focuses on data in the mutual funds domain.

As a Product Manager, you will also be responsible for managing the data team and
making sure the data is captured efficiently, logically and accurately. Data Product
Manager will work closely with peers, internal and external stakeholders, data vendors
and clients to ensure a well-functioning data department.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities as a manager:

● Act as the reporting manager of a team of Data Analysts; Manage workflow;

Conduct performance reviews

● Mentor the members of the data team to become subject matter experts; Take
initiatives to enhance their productivity
 ● Ensure availability of required resources and tools to the data team; Resolve
conflicts and roadblocks

Responsibilities as an individual contributor:

● Spot trends and ideas for data stories/infographics/social media postings

● Create visually rich and insightful content leveraging the data

● Identify new data sources as needed; Engage with vendors to source data

● Ensure safe storage and retrieval of data with a high degree of reliability

● Build checks and balances to validate the accuracy of data

● Engage with clients, understand their data needs and create commercial
solutions for them

● Ensure the provision of accurate, up-to-date data on the Value Research website
and other applications; Ensure speedy resolution of data-related issues

Skill Sets
● Strong working knowledge of the savings and investment products in India

● Deep understanding of investing concepts, key ratios and how to calculate them

● Hands-on experience in creating and managing databases

● Ability to handle and process large volumes of data on spreadsheets

● Ability to manage relationships and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors

● Experience in managing a team is desirable
