It was time for bed at Safari Camp. All
the animals were tired.
2
Lioness said, “Brush your teeth, please.
Then, I will turn off the lights.”
3
“Do we have to?” the animals grumbled.
“Yes,” said Lioness.
4
The animals looked for their toothbrushes.
5
Meerkat jumped up. “I’m going to be the
first one to brush my teeth.
6
“I have a new tiny toothbrush. And my
toothpaste stands up—just like me.”
7
Zebra joined in. “My toothpaste is black
and white! My brush is gray.”
8
9
“My toothbrush is electric. And I have
the biggest tube of toothpaste in the
world!” said Hippo.
10
11
“I have a super long toothbrush,” Giraffe
said. “But I only have a tiny tube of
toothpaste.”
12
13
“My toothbrush has a special grip, and I
use a pump for my toothpaste. I squeeze it
with my foot,” Elephant said.
14
15
“I have a beakbrush and beakpaste,” said
Flamingo. Everyone stopped to watch.
16
“She doesn’t even have teeth!” Meerkat
exclaimed.
17
Lioness came to see their sparkly clean
smiles. “Good job!” she said. “Now, get
into bed! It’s time to say good night.”
18
“Do we have to?” the animals cried. “We
don’t feel tired now.”
19
“Yes,” said Lioness. And she turned off the
lights.
