1. Introduction

Blood is an essential part of our life for the daily functioning of our body.
We encounter various scenarios with blood in our life, sometimes we have a
low blood count situation, and sometimes we also require blood or
emergency blood for various operations or accidents for ourselves and our
friends and relatives. In that case, we contact our near ones, friends,
relatives, and blood banks but we don’t find the necessary blood at the right
time which leads to various worse conditions.

This project is based on developing a digital blood bank for blood banks,
blood donors, and also patients who require emergency blood. This project
Blood Bank Management intends to help blood banks build their digital
records for fast and easy management of blood, also keep blood donors keep
their information about blood donation and blood request and patient who
requires emergency blood for various purposes.

2. Problem Statement

While researching for the summer project for BIM 6th Semester I found that
there are various problems related to blood in the context of Nep al.
Generally, blood banks also don’t keep proper records of blood inventory
digitally which is creating issues to manage blood properly, also donors are
facing the issue of not updating their donation history and requesting blood
while needed, and patients and their close ones are also facing the problem
of not finding appropriate blood when required. So there are many problems
related to blood management in Nepal in the current scenario.

So the proposed concept of this project is to help create a digital blood bank
management system to help the blood bank create and update its current
system to a digital blood bank system and help patients access blood when
they require and also help donors keep their donation request and request
blood when required.
