Oral Hygiene
Patient: Good morning, [Patient Name]. I feel good, thank you. My name :……
and I was born on april 2nd 2003
Nurse: That's very good. Maintaining oral hygiene is very important to keep
your teeth and gums healthy. Are you currently experiencing any problems with
your teeth or mouth?
Nurse (Nurse): Good. Let's start by cleaning your mouth. First, let's clean your
teeth. (The nurse takes the toothbrush and toothpaste) I'll help you brush your
teeth. (Nurse helps patient brush teeth)
Patient: Thank you, [Nurse Name]. I always forget how to brush my teeth
properly.
Nurse: No problem, I'm here to help. Make sure you brush your teeth for two
minutes, and don't forget to clean all the surfaces of your teeth. Now, rinse your
mouth with water.
Nurse: Next, we will clean your tongue. The tongue can also be a place for
bacteria to grow. (The nurse gives the patient a tongue cleaner) Use this tool to
gently clean your tongue.
Nurse: Very good. Finally, let's rinse your mouth with mouthwash to kill any
remaining bacteria and give you fresh breath. (The nurse gives the patient
mouthwash)
Nurse (Nurse): That's it! You have maintained good oral hygiene. Make sure
you do this at least twice a day, morning and night. Also, don't forget to keep
your dentures or orthodontic devices clean if you use them. Do you have any
further questions or concerns?
Patient: I don't have any questions. Thank you for your help, [Nurse Name].
Nurse: No problem, [Patient Name]. Happy to help. If you have any further
questions, feel free to ask at any time. Hope you stay healthy!
