    A 68-year-old retired female presented with spontaneous bruising on her legs for 3 months and a history of major nosebleeds and fatigue. On examination, she had multiple areas of bruising on the skin, bleeding from the gums, bruises on the retina, and low platelet count. Her bone marrow biopsy revealed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) as the cause of her pancytopenia and bleeding symptoms. She received platelet transfusions and will require further treatment and management for AML.
