Uses of statistics in real world:

 In business, statistics are used to identify sales patterns and market trends.
 In education, they are used to assess the efficacy of instructional methods.
 In government, they are used to identify shifts in population demographics and the success of
public policies.
 In sports, they are employed to assess the talents and successes of individual players and teams.

Abuses of statistics in real world:

 Unusual Percentages. There is use of ambiguous or misleading percentages. For instance "SONIS
Airlines is committed to service! We’ve already improved on-time flights 100% in the last six
months, and that is just the beginning! Fly Sonis and soar!"

 Loaded with queries. A question's wording might direct answers in the direction of the intended
outcome.

 Pictographs. An illustration of an object used to represent and illustrate facts is called a

pictograph. As an illustration, money bags can stand in for savings or expenditures, barrels for
oil use, and so forth.
