The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to be the 22nd

running of the FIFA World Cup competition, the
quadrennial international men's football championship
contested by the national teams of the member
associations of FIFA. It is scheduled to take place in
Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022. The
capital city is Doha and the official language is Arabic.

This will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab
world. In addition, the tournament will be the last to
involve 32 teams

Organizing a world cup is very important. It represents a great expense for the host, but the
benefits may be greater. In the case of the 2022 world cup, Qatar hopes that the tournament
will bring bonanza not only to them but also to the entire Arab community.

In addition, the country expects to receive 1.5 million visitors. Thirty-two teams will participate in
the tournament and the eight stadiums will be located within a radius of 40 km. A surprise of the
World Cup will be the start and end date. To avoid the intense summer with temperatures that
will reach 40ºC, the World Cup will begin on November 21st and will end on December 18th ,
Qatar’s National Day. That is, it will be played in winter. However, the winter temperatures in
Qatar reach around 30ºC. As a result, the matches will be played in the evenings. It is not the
first time that Qatar hosts a sporting event, but it has never hosted such a large one.

Qatar has the third largest natural gas reserves in the world, after Russia and Iran. The main
trading partners of Qatar are India, China, Japan, South Korea, the USA and the UK.
Qatar has a dry desert climate and temperatures can easily reach more than 40°C in summer.
Natural hazards include sand storms, dust storms and haze.

The emirate on the Persian gulf has many attractions for the whole family to visit. Among the
most popular are:
