Abstract
In Indonesia, social, national, and state life are in danger due to corruption. Additionally, the
state's economy, culture, and society have all suffered enormous financial losses as a
consequence of corruption. Furthermore, because of criminality, the corruption act unavoidably
altered society. The primary goal of this study is to observe and analyze the social dynamics
surrounding the corruption act. The article also describes the steps the Indonesian government
has taken to mitigate the negative effects corruption has on society. This study employs
normative legal research, a prescriptive analytical technique, along with a conceptual, statutory,
and case-based methodology to evaluate community involvement in anti-corruption activities.
Introduction
Social media has developed into a vital tool for uniting people worldwide, bringing about
change, raising awareness, and sparking collaborative projects in an era defined by digital
connection and information sharing. Corruption is a worldwide issue that has an impact on
society everywhere, thus it calls for both our collective attention and action. This article outlines
a social media marketing initiative that is a relevant and appealing attempt to take on corruption
head-on.
A systemic evil, corruption stunts socioeconomic growth, embezzles vital resources, erodes
public trust in institutions, and stretches out inequality. People from many areas of life are
impacted by the ongoing battle against corruption in countries like Indonesia and many others.
Giving voice to those who are tired of the status quo, want to see change, and are dedicated to
exposing the unethical behavior that obstructs progress is the aim of this social media campaign.
Through the education and training of our people on the dangers and fallacies of corruption, our
social media campaign project is empowering Indonesian citizens. In order to raise awareness,
we hope to use social media to connect with people throughout Indonesia and pique their interest
in reading our posts and posters. This project will involve working with thousands of people who
we anticipate will gather on social media to enable us to raise our voices throughout the
campaign.
Discussion
We have chosen to make a poster for our project, which we will share and put on tiktok and
Instagram, among other social networking sites. Below are some of our finalized posters that will
soon be shared on social media. These are some examples:
These are the posters that resemble the hand-crafted slideshows we typically see on our TikTok
and Instagram feeds. In addition to being two of the most widely used social media platforms,
TikTok and Instagram are also well-known for being visual-based platforms, which is another
reason we selected them for our topic for discussion. Visitors use these social media platforms to
interact with images and videos and to share interesting content with their friends. Engaging,
educating, and motivating our audience to take action against corruption should be our primary
goals while spreading corruption awareness on Instagram. The following are salient points that
we have highlighted on our posters: Definition of corruption, instances of corruption, Reasons
for which corruption in Indonesia has to end The difficulties and outcomes of combating
corruption, how corruption is affecting Indonesia's economic development, what can be done to
stop corruption, and a brief catchphrase to inspire young people to confront corruption. A long
time ago, corruption had been such a major issue. It was believed that the nationalization of
Dutch and foreign businesses in Indonesia in 1958 marked the beginning of the country's
corruption. The TNI became corrupt as a result of General AH Nasution's attempts to contain the
upheaval by imposing martial law on the nationalized businesses. It is imperative that we
acknowledge the fact that those with elevated statuses will always take advantage of their
positions to enhance their earnings, regardless of the moral implications. One such instance that
has been prevalent since the 1950s is corruption. Additionally, corruption is unintentionally
harming the reputation of politicians in Indonesia by making many citizens decide not to cast
ballots because they believe those who share their views will merely do "lip-service" rather than
taking concrete steps to improve the situation. Since the youth will be running the country in the
future, this is extremely dangerous. We must all work together, comprehend the circumstances of
this nation, and take personal responsibility to find answers that will allow us to end corruption
cases in Indonesia.
Conclusion
In conclusion, widespread and detrimental corruption has severely harmed Indonesia's social,
national, and economic base. Corruption is a severe issue that calls for collaboration from all
parties because it is so prevalent, has resulted in significant financial losses, and has changed
society. The importance of social media as a weapon for raising awareness and combating
corruption is emphasized in this article. The goal of the campaign is to enlighten, inspire, and
involve people in taking action against corruption by using visual platforms like TikTok and
Instagram. It is essential to comprehend the historical roots of corruption in Indonesia as well as
the importance of transparency and moral leadership, especially among the political class. The
children of the country are crucial to deciding the future
