CRITERIA FOR THE INITIAL ISSUE OF AN AIRCRAFT ENGINEER’S LICENSE OR

AIRCRAFT FLIGHT CREW LICENSE FROM THE CYPRUS DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL
AVIATION

Persons interested for the initial issue of an Aircraft Engineer’s License (Part-66) or an
Aircraft Flight Crew License (Part-FCL) from the Cyprus Department of Civil Aviation must
meet at least one of the following criteria:

1. Be a citizen of a European Union (EU) Member State or of European Free Trade

Association (EFTA),

2. A person who will be employed in an Organisation approved by the Cyprus

Department of Civil Aviation (e.g. Air Carrier, Training Organisation for Aircraft

Engineers or for Flight Crews, Aircraft Maintenance Organisation),

3. A person who will be trained or has been trained at an Organisation approved by the

Cyprus Department of Civil Aviation,

4. A person who has resided for the last 12 months in the Republic of Cyprus,

5. For any other reason and subject to Cyprus DCA evaluation.
