Frequently asked questions (FAQs) on Activation for Newly issued Credit

Cards

As per RBI Master Circular on Cards(RBI/2022-23/92


DoR.AUT.REC.No.27/24.01.041/2022-23) issued on 21st April 2022, starting 1st
October,2022, card issuers shall seek OTP based consent from the cardholder for
activating a credit card, if the same has not been activated by the customer for more
than 30 days from the date of issuance. If no consent is received for activating the card,
card-issuers shall close the credit card account without any cost to the customer within
7 working days from the date of seeking confirmation from the customer.

1. What should I do to ensure my new ICICI Bank Credit Card is not closed?

To ensure your newly issued ICICI Bank Credit Card is not closed, you need to do either
of the following within the first 30 days of Card set-up:

A. Enable Online/ International/ Contactless transactions:

- To Enable via Internet Banking Click Here

- To Enable via i-Mobile Pay Click Here

OR B.
Generate PIN:

- To generate PIN via Internet Banking Click Here

- To generate PIN via i-Mobile Pay Click Here

OR

C. Make a Transaction using your new ICICI Bank Credit Card within the first 30
days of Card set-up

2. What should I do in case I have missed out on activating my Card within


the first 30 days of card set-up?
In case you have missed out on activating your Card using the above mentioned
ways and wish to retain your card, you can provide us your consent to keep your
card active by any of the following methods:

A. Whats app us your consent from your registered mobile number, by simply
clicking here
OR

B. SMS “CCUSG” to <5676766> from your registered mobile number

OR

C. Give a missed call on <7573060605> from your registered mobile number

4. How do I check all the Cards I hold?

To check for all ICICI Bank Credit Cards you hold, log into your Internet Banking account
or i-Mobile Pay iOS or Android
