How to String a Guitar

Various types of string pegs exIst. Depending on the type peg. you will insert the

vertically into the middle of the peg. insert the string into a side hole like a needle, or use

a string lock. No matter what type of peg. you will wind the string on the peg from top
o bottom as shown in the accompanying diagram. Iry not to leave gaps between the
windings. Additionaly, there are basically two types of guitar heads. One has pegs on
one side only, and the other has pegs on both sides. The winding direction is different
depending on the type, so please reter to the diagram to properly wind the strings.
