AGREEMENT AND ORIENTATION SUPPLEMENT

DEAR J-1 CULTURAL EXCHANGE PARTICIPANT: Odyssey International Exchange (Odyssey) has been made aware of
unfortunate events which involved several of your fellow classmates/J-1 participants. This agreement and orientation
supplement is to create awareness and to make certain you and your parents have the knowledge to ensure your well-
being during your J-1 program.

Odyssey has been informed fellow classmates and/or participants from India have been arrested for illegal activities
associated to criminal enterprise(s) scamming U.S. citizens and residents out of thousands of dollars through
computer/telephone and other scam methods. These individuals are facing a likely conviction resulting in substantial
imprisonment, deportation and being permanently barred from the U.S. Once deported they can be further charged in
India (Section 4, Indian Penal Code, 1860 outlines Indian criminal law shall apply even if the criminal transaction has
taken place in the U.S.).

We have learned past and present students from educational institutes in India are contacting individuals planning to
participate in the J-1 cultural exchange program to engage, encourage, coerce and recruit them to become involved in
illegal scams and schemes. These criminal enterprises use fellow students (past and present) to target J-1 participants
because they believe they are naïve and unaware to laws of the U.S. and India. Indian and U.S. authorities, including the
FBI, are aware of these of scams and are investigating and monitoring activities. Becoming involved in such illegal activity
at any level is extremely illegal.

AGREEMENT: As a participant of the J-1 cultural exchange program, I hereby declare that I adhere to all program rules
and regulations as outlined in the J-1 participant agreement, handbook and orientation. I further declare I will not
engage in any illegal criminal activities in USA and understand Indian Criminal Law shall apply even if criminal transaction
has taken place in U.S. per section 4, Indian Penal Code, 1860. Together with my parents, we assume and agree to hold
harmless, indemnify, protect and defend Odyssey International Exchange, their officers, employees, agents, host
employers, third parties or others against any and all liability for injuries and damages to Odyssey, their officers,
employees, agents, host employers, third parties or others from any and all liabilities, actions, claims, damage, demands,
judgments, losses, and expenses, whether direct or indirect, including attorney’s fees, arising from any accident,
occurrence, injuries, including death, resulting from my negligent or other act(s).
