Intelligence Bureau (IB), under Ministry of Home Affairs, Is looking for technically sound young Graduate
Indian Nationals with consistent academic record & who have achieved qualifying cut-off marks in GATE
in any of the years 2021 or 2022 or 2023 to join the organization as:
Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical in dlsclplines of
I Computer Science & Information Technology (79) l Electronics & Communlcat!on (147)
1. DESCRIPTION OF POST & BENEFITS:
Classification General Central Service, Group 'C' (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial)
Pay Scale Level-7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt.
allowances.

On Initial appointment, the following pay and allowances is admissible:
(a) Basic Pay -Rs. 44900/-
(b) DA (@46% of basic pay as on date)- Rs. 20,654/-
(c) SSA (20% of basic pay) - Rs. 8,980/-
(d) HRA (ranging from 9% to 27% of basic pay, depending upon the classification of
city of posting)-X (27%), Y (18%) & Z (9%)
(e) Transport Allowance - Higher TPTA cities (Rs. 3600/- + DA on 3600) & Other
places (Rs. 1800/- + DA on 1800)
(f) Government contribution towards NPS (@14%)- Rs. 6,286/-
In addition to above, other admissible facilities/allowances -
(i) Cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays subject to a ceiling of
30 days.
(ii) Annual increment.
(iii) Medical facilities for self and dependent family members (CGHS/AMA)
(iv) LTC facilities (for self and dependent family members)
(v) Children Education Allowance
(vi) Government accommodation (as per entitlement) - subject to availability

3. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:
Candidates must have achieved qualifying cut-off marks in GATE 2021 or 2022 or 2023 in Electronics
& Communication (GATE code: EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (GATE code:
CS) along with:
I. B.E or B.Tech in the fields of: Electronics or Electronics & Tele-communication or Electronics &
Communication or Electrical & Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or
Computer Engineering or Computer Science & Engineering; from a Government recognized
. University/College/Institute. Or
II. Master's Degree _in Science, with Electronics or Physics with Electronics or Electronics &
Communication or Computer Science; or Master's Degree in Computer Applications; from a
Government recognized University/College/Institute.
4. AGE LIMIT: 18-27 years as on 12.1.2024.
5. SERVICE LIABILITY: The post involves All India Service liability. Therefore, the candidates willing
to serve anywhere in India only need to apply.
6. The above-mentioned post is not identified suitable for any category of Persons with disabilities/PwD
i.e. HH, OH, VH or Autism. Hence, they NEED NOT apply.
7. SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION Gate Score Interview Marks
1) Candidates (10 times the number of vacancies) to be shortlisted
on the basis of GATE score card (qualifying cut-off marks) of 2021 1000 175
or 2022 or 2023 and will be called directly for the Interview.
2) The interview is aimed to assess the candidate's traits on two parameters i.e. Subject knowledge
in relevant fields & Communication skills.
3) The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidates' combined marks obtained in Gate
Examination as well as in Interview.
Note: Candidates appearing in interviews will be required to appear in a Psychometric/Aptitude test,
which will be a part of the Interview process.
8. HOW TO APPLY:
a) Applications should be submitted only through ONLINE registration by logging on to the website
www.mha.gov.in or www.ncs.gov.in. Applications will NOT be accepted through any other mode.
b) The application portal will be operational from 23.12.2023 to 12.1.2024 (till 2359 hrs). Registration
done prior to 23.12.2023 & after 12.1.2024 will not be accepted.
9. EXAMINATION FEE & PAYMENT:
It is in 02 components: Examination Fee: Rs. 100/- & Recruitment Processing Charges: Rs. 100/-
which is required to be paid as under:

Note: Banking charges, if applicable, will be boffle by the candidate.
a) All SC/ST candidates, female candidates and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of
examination fee. *Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Central
Govt in Group 'C' post on regular basis after availing benefits of reservation given to them are
required to pay the examination fee, i.e. Rs. 100/- also along with recruitment processing charges of
Rs. 100/-.
b) The application form is integrated with the payment gateway & payment can be made through Debit
Cards (RuPayNisa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, UPI, SBI challan etc..
Banking charges, If applicable will be bome by the candidates.
c) Payment through S81 challan generated on the last day of
closure of online application forms can be submitted i'n the bank
till :16.1.2024 (during ban.king hours only).
d) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumsJances.

11. CLOSING DATE: 12.1.2024 (till 2359 hours).

WARNING
It has been noticed that some unscrupulous elements are
fraudulently i_nviting applications for various posts in the
Intelligence Bureau._ Such elements are also alluring the
aspirants appearing in various written examinations conducted
by 1B for providing assistance during the examination and are
even issuing fake appointment letters to some of the candidates.
The prospective candidates/job aspirants are, therefore,
cautioned not to fall prey to the designs of such unscrupulous
elements who are trying to dupe the unsuspecting aspirants /
candidates for their personal gain. Candidates are advised to
apply through the website of MHA only i.e. www.mha.gov.in.
There have been several reports in the Social _Media wherein
some unknown persons claiming to be Ex 18 Officers give false
assurance to the prospective candidates that they would help
them in getting thr�ugh this �xamination by virtue of their long
association with the 1B. Candidates in their own interest are
advised not to fall prey �o such false, baseless, misleading and
exaggerated claims of these persons as 18 do not share any
input regarding the content of question papers of any
Examination conducted by 18 with anyone.
