While my company is in Kentucky, I do not think that TOS for Kentucky will be any different than any

other state. So, I think ANY Lawyer licensed in America is fine. Let me know if I am wrong.

I have a website www.affordable-tutors.com that I need a lawyer to help me with protecting

myself. Please peruse the website to see if I need anything other than TOS.
We will soon add a statement like by continuing you agree to our using cookies. But, do we need more
than that?
Also, we need a terms of service. I am starting it but I really don't know what I am doing.
Some important things.
1) This is a tutoring company that offers ONLINE ONLY tutoring.
2) If they cancel their order, then a $100 cancellation fee.
3) For private tutoring 1-1 and 1-2 - they can cancel their class without fee if they cancel before 10pm
(their time zone) the previous day otherwise the fee for that hour will be deducted. The ONLY exception
we want to allow are if the student in question or parent/guardian of the student is in the hospital and
documentation is provided(We don't need reason they are in hospital, just proof). We just don't want
student to say - I don't feel like having class, I want to watch TV, mom call and say I had an accident and I
am in hospital.
4) For group classes like ACT/SAT/GRE (or any classes with more than 2 students) then there is no refund
for missed class but they can always watch the video of the class online up to a month later.
5) We have medical doctors who will teach/tutor Biology and other type classes - if students or their
parents ask them medical questions. The doctor is allowed to ask them to contact them OUTSIDE our
website and charge the customer directly. We (Affordable High-Quality Tutors LLC) will have nothing to
do with any medical services. We do not support/condone it but we will not prevent it. We will not be
involved in this at all. We only support the medical doctors as tutors for classes. The student needs to
know any medical advice is given OUTSIDE our services and they cannot hold us responsible for any bad
advice. Also, should they should know that most Pharmacies will not accept prescriptions from outside
the country but getting medical advice outside the country is perfectly legal and can save money. In fact
many insurance companies send major non-life threatening operations outside of America (especially to
Philippines) to save money.

Cancelling a package. We currently have 12 lesson, 25 lesson and 50 lesson packages. Of course the
more lessons they pay for the cheaper the total price. But, we do not want a family to buy the 50 lesson
package for Bachelor tutor at $20/hour which is $1000. Then cancel after 12 lessons. In that case the
total used is $240 - with $100 fee that is $340 used.
The 12 lesson package is $317. I think the total used should be $317 + $100 = $417. If allowed.
In other words, if they cancel early then the hourly rate should be computed at either the 25 or 12
lesson count depending on how many lessons they took unless they took more than 25.

We know that sometimes a teacher and tutor do not mesh so they are allowed to request a chance of
tutor ONCE free of charge. Any other requests cost $100 unless they can show REASON...
Reason should be one of the following...
a) Tutor unable to do MULTIPLE problems and they were provided the homework in advance.
b) Tutor behaves in a matter that is not professional
But, they need to tell us when it happened (approximate time) on what day if they used teams or they
need to upload video if it happened on Zoom and tell us when it happened (approximate time) and
name of tutor and name of student.

We also provide access to IXL at a discounted rate. Purchasing this software is NOT refundable for ANY
reason. They have the option of getting a FREE demo on how IXL is used before purchase.

Also, all tutoring is not refundable outside the option to cancel.

In other words they cannot tell PayPal I want a refund.

We have STRONG student protections. We allow police and parents to VIEW any videos to show that
our teachers are professionals and behave appropriately. We also do not allow video cams for teacher
or student to help with this protection. For REAL young students who want to see their teacher, we
leave that option up to the teacher BUT we still request/require the student to keep their webcam
off. While we try to hire tutors who will behave themselves we still add the added protection of not
allowing videos. If child requires to see tutor then we request that the parent stay with the child at all
times for added protection. (But please word that better).

Also need privacy notice.
