a screening interview

Hardware and software tips and tricks:

Ensure the camera is at eye level and not positioned below or above your head,
showing your face from odd angles. You look your best when you are straight
and appear directly in front of your interviewer!

We recommend using a good headset, so your voice will sound clear and 

up to the standards for a virtual meet-up. The interviewer won't want to miss 

a word you say

Remember to check your hardware and software well ahead of time to have 

an alternative solution in case any technical issue arises, and to be punctual for
the interview, no matter the obstacles encountered

How is your internet connection? It should be efficient and stable to hold 


a 30 minutes interview with no interruptions, glitches or discontinued audio.

Virtual Interview Etiquette:

Show us your pretty face. Pick a room with plenty of natural light, or turn on all
the present lights to ensure you are well visible. Ideally no areas of your face
should be in the shade, so never sit entirely in the dark

It’s advisable to avoid noisy or distracting environments. It will also help you stay
focused during the meeting. For that reason, try and always prioritise closed
environments

Make sure your room looks tidy, clean and pleasant. Tidy room, tidy mind!

Please do some research for the interview: lookup for all relevant information
about the open position; it will help impress the interviewer positively.

Prepare for your introduction: consider a short speech that can help your
experience stand out and be appreciated without overselling your profile. 

If necessary, write down the main points and use them as guidelines when
talking about yourself

Be extra punctual. It helps if you always aim to connect ahead of time.
