STABILITY ANALSYS AND SERVICIBILITY CRITERIA 3.4 Analysis Model 3-dimensional Etabs model has been developed considering all vertical and lateral loads. All dead, live and lateral loads due to earthquake and wind loads have been considered in the analysis and the design. Dynamic and Response spectrum analysis method are used for earthquake forces considering two orthogonal directions. Frame elements are used for modelling the beams and columns, shell elements are used to model the floor slabs and walls. The adopted stiffness modifiers for various structural elements in the analytical models are complying with the cracking level under ultimate loads as recommended by ACI318-08 Clause 10.10.4.1 where the member inertias are taken as follows: Cracked inertia of beams 0.3519 Cracked inertia of conventional slabs 0.25 1g Cracked inertia of PT stabs 0.2510 Cracked inertia of columns 07019 Cracked inertia of walls 07019 RC ties (considered under tension, only reinforcement)-Axial NPAs. Stiff by eq area Where Ig is the gross moment of inertia of element section. For Service model, above values multiplied by a factor of 1.4 except ties remain the same 3.2 Serviceability Limit State This enterion refers to structural displacements and their appearances. Structural displacements vertically and horizontally shall be controlled by allowable limits to be acceptable.
