CSO pywamie SEAL process pumps Standard dimension process pumps Single stage—open impeller AllisChalmers CSO Dynamic Seal pumps are designed to eliminate stuffing box sealing problems normal with packing or conven- tional mechanical seals. Dynamic Seals are used for severe pumping and sealing applica- tions of corrosion and abrasion in the chem- ical, petrochemical, pulp and paper, brewing, food and other process industries. ALLIS-CHALMERS © Simple operation. The Dynamic Seal uses an auxiliary impeller in the stuffing box. As the pumped liquid enters the Dynamic Seal stuffing box, itis restrained by centrifu- gal force, due to the auxiliary impeller, thus preventing leakage. © Static sealing. When pump is not in operation, a replace- able split sealing ring acts as a lip seal check valve to pre- vent external leakage. The sealing ring does not contact the shaft thus eliminating wear during operation of the pump. © No critical operating clearances are required for the proper ‘operation of the Dynamic Seal. © Packing is eliminated thus greatly reducing stuffing box maintenance and leakage. ‘© Mechanical shaft seals with finely lapped faces and expen- sive replacement cost are no longer required. © Capability: Manufactured in 1, 2 or 3 stages which will balance out suction pressures from zero to: RPM —I-stage —-2-stage —-3.stage 3500 60ft. = 100 ft. 140 ft. 175016 ft. 26ft. 36 ft, © Available in 10 pump sizes with: same frame and Dynamic” Seal parts, © Utilizes ANSI B123.1 1971 (AVS) CSO standard pump ends and frame parts.
