CALL FOR PAPERS

THEME: African Languages, Literatures, & Mobility

The 12th annual meeting of the Southeast African Languages and Literatures Forum (SEALLF)
was held in October 28-29, 2022, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC- CH).
We are in communication with Lexington Publishers to submit a proposal for the 2022 SEALLF
conference proceedings. Dr. Esther Lisanza of Howard University and Dr. Samba Camara and
Dr. Mohamed Mwamzandi of the University of Chapel Hill will team up as editors. The proposed
book examines the roles of African languages and literatures as both mediums but also as footprints
of mobility among African people inside and out of the continent (See the attached call for abstracts
of the 2022 SEALF conference for a detailed description.). For us to submit the conference
proceedings proposal in time, we have set the following deadlines:

1. Paper proposal submission: Paper proposal here means a submission that includes
full name, level of education (for example, PhD, MA), contact email, paper topic, abstract
(150 words) and bio (80 words). Let us know if your paper will include figures and tables
and how many of each (This is required in the proposal.). Submit your paper proposal by
October 31, 2023.
