Prepositional Phrases:

 A prepositional phrase starts with a preposition and usually ends with a noun
or noun phase.

Examples: at home, over the years

 Prepositional phrases are often used:

1) To describe 'how', 'where' or 'when/how long'.

Examples: She goes to work by bus. He left without me. (how)

He's at work. She lives in a large city. (where)

Before leaving work, I turned my computer off. (when)

I've lived here for six years. (how long)

2) To describe a noun.

Examples: This is a tea with a strong taste.

3) To show who did something.

Examples: This is a tea was chosen by Mark.
