STATISTICAL TREATMENT OF DATE

Descriptive statistics were used to summarize and analyze the collected temperature

data. The following statistical measures were computed for each time interval and

month:

Mean:

The mean temperature for each time interval and month was calculated by summing

all the temperature readings and dividing the total by the number of readings.

Median:

The median temperature for each time interval and month was determined by finding

the middle value in the sorted list of temperature readings. If there was an even

number of readings, the average of the two middle values was taken.

Mode:

The mode represents the temperature value that occurs most frequently in the data set.

For each time interval and month, the mode was determined by identifying the

temperature value with the highest frequency.

Range:

The range of temperatures for each time interval and month was determined by

calculating the difference between the maximum and minimum temperature values.

Standard Deviation:

The standard deviation measures the dispersion of temperature readings around the

mean. It quantifies the amount of variation or spread in the data set.

Data Analysis:

After computing the descriptive statistics, the collected temperature data was further

analyzed to identify trends or patterns. Graphical representations such as line plots or

bar charts were used to visualize the temperature variations over the four-month

period.

Statistical Tests:

To determine the significance of any observed differences or relationships in the

temperature data, statistical tests such as t-tests or analysis of variance (ANOVA)

were conducted. These tests helped evaluate whether the temperature variations

between different months or time intervals were statistically significant.
