The purpose of the document is to explain in detail the procedure of marble columns installation.

2.SCOPE

Scope of work explained in the method statement includes the use of equipments, protection, power tools and
manpower to be dedicated to execute the safety while installing the marble columns at the project Sobha waves as
per the shop drawing. The activities included in the scope of works in detailed are as follows:

 The use of custom made fabricated steel frames, hoists and forklifts with power tools and protection
materials, skilled masons and certified equipment and power tools operators to install marble columns at
ground floor level and first floor level as described below.

5.1 Material:

All materials to be used will have materials submittals and technical data sheet submitted to the consultant for
approval before Commencing work.

Materials used in the activity are:

 Epoxy used in the bonding of the columns parts with each other and the floors to be submitted.
 Hard foam floor cover, and rubber sheets used in enveloping the pillars.
 Custom built Scaffolding on wheels with electric hoist and operator.
 3 Ton Forklift with pipe clamp and certified operator.
 3 and 5 Ton pickup with crane with certified crane operator for the delivery and unloading of the
columns crates.
 S.steel rods and specially fabricated arm to be fitted on the first floor top column bolted to the wall.
 S.steel bolts anchors as well as chemical anchors to be used in the installation where required.

5.2 Plant & Equipment

Equipment to be used-Protective overalls, masking tape, Grinding machine, Drilling Machine, spirit levels, laser
meter ,electric hoist pickup with crane, forklift with pipe clamps etc. furthermore the following procedure also purse
in the site for prior commencing of works.

 Custom fabricated Scaffolding on wheels with electric hoist and access ladders will be inspected prior to
use and regularly inspected during the works. All scaffolds shall be tagged using the scaffold tag system.
Only fit for purpose scaffolding shall be used.

 As a minimum, scaffolds shall be inspected on a weekly basis and or after the scaffold has been broken
down, rebuilt, or altered in any way.

 Power tools will be and inspected prior to use to ensure their fitness for purpose.

5.3 Access

A safe and proper access to the site of work is to be provided by the main contractor, so that the vehicle, men and
materials, machinery along with tools and tackles can easily reach the site of works. Only authorized person from
main contractor and (or) subcontractor should enter the site with proper PPE and tools equipment

6. METHOD OF EXECUTION

 Approved material shall be allowed to deliver at site. Each delivery has a relevant delivery note and the
time of delivery the material invoice should be signed by the concerned parties.

 Proper storage area for the materials to be allocated and delivered, in the proper protection or storage
boxes.

 Once the material is received at site, QA/QC Engineer is informed and internal inspection from the QA/QC
person will be conducted. Any material not complying with approved material submittal or approved
sample shall be rejected same time and returned.

 After inspection and verification of document by the QA/QC person, MIR shall be raised to consultant. Only
Approved material is allowed to use at site.

 All the related fixing materials, such as nails, screws, and other materials for tendency to corrosion, shall
be protected from rust and accumulation of dirt and soil. Corroded materials will not be used for any type
of construction, and it will dispose immediately

6.2 Site Planning and Preparation

 The work will commence, only after getting the approval for shop drawings, materials arrival to the site
and approvals from the consultant side.

 Before commencement of work, the clearance for designated areas from the concerned parties (i.e., MEP
or Consultant) shall be ensured as per theCAP^Q.

 All the activities shall follow the CAP^Q procedure for clearance and stamps shall be updated as required
by CAP^Q.
