PRE CLASSICAL CONTRIBUTION OF CHARLES BABBAGE Charles Babbage(1791-1871) was

an English mathematician, inventor, and engineer who is widely regarded as the father of modern
computing. Difference Engine and Analytical Engine were groundbreaking inventions that
revolutionized the field of management and laid the foundation for modern computing. His use of
punched cards to control the machines' operations introduced the concept of programming and
software development. Babbage's work inspired future generations of inventors, mathematicians,
and engineers to push the boundaries of what was possible in science and technology. Despite
passing away before his inventions could be fully realized, Babbage received numerous honors and
awards during his lifetime, including from the Royal Society and the Royal Astronomical Society.
Today, his legacy lives on in the technology we use every day.
