About The Apprentice Project (TAP)

The Apprentice Project (TAP) is a for-impact organization determined to transform


Government/low-income schools by offering holistic development of all children. At TAP,
we use choice-based learning (Visual arts, Performing arts, or STEM) to develop leadership
skills.

Pre-Work (Estimated Time Required: 5 to 6 Hours)
● As the Associate Director Program Operations , you are responsible for designing and
implementing the strategy for the Operations and Student Impact vertical.
● Currently TAP works with 10,000 students in 100 schools in 6 cities. The next year’s goal is to
impact 100,000 students across 1000 schools in 10 cities.
● The TAP program enables the online self-learning of students in the 5 courses, namely Art &
Craft, Coding, Dance, Science lab (STEM-based projects), and Financial Literacy.

● The current program execution looks like this:


1. Schools onboarding and Student registration - Initial set-up:
a. New schools/NGOs signed up in TAP by the Partnership team
b. Operations and Student Impact team onboards the schools
c. The teachers are inducted by the TAP team
d. The teachers share the registration process link with students
e. The students register using a smartphone at their home
f. Material kits for the Arts and Science course students are sent by TAP to the school
2. Execution - Activity starts:
a. One activity video is sent every week to all the students by the TAP Buddy chatbot
b. Students do the weekly activity at their homes
c. They submit their work to TAP Buddy via WhatsApp messages
d. The data is collected and used for reporting (% of students accessing the video, submitting
their work, etc.)

● There are steps for the student registration process in the initial set-up:

3. Respond to the questions that come up on TAP Buddy (like language, name, grade, etc.)

Your pre-work task: Create and share

● A 2-pager strategy document for a new tech-centered process for onboarding 1,000 schools
and 5,000 teachers, registering 100,000 students, and then managing the program execution

● The Employee may be required to visit the city of placement once every two months
