share your skills by volunteering to teach a class at a community centre.

LISTENING
Good morning Mrs. Cina and everybody. I’m Joe. Thanks for giving me a chance to talk about
the brief problem of (37)________________ between men and women.

First, I'm gonna talk about (38) _____________________ between them. Even though men and
women are equally qualified for the same job, men work less but earn much more than women.
According to recent reports, a woman who works full-time or through the year earns ten
thousand eight hundred dollars less per year than a man. The space gap is even larger if the
workers are African women.

And in the family where both parents work, for example men and women spend the same
amount of time working, but women still have to spend more time doing (39)_______________
chores. Based on a study, women aged fifteen or older spend 5.7 hours doing housework while
men in the same age group only spend 3.6 hours each day doing so.

Finally, the job opportunities are also unequal. There are many jobs that people think are for men
such as plumbers, politicians, surgeons, (40)___________________ and drivers. Besides, there
are some other jobs that more women do like nurses, teachers, flight attendants and models.
Although more and more men and women work in jobs which are thought of as the other gender,
the number of male and female workers is still too different.
