Unit of Study outcomes

You have space in your degree to complete 12 credit points on your Study Abroad Program.

You must complete 4 credits at Shanghai Jiao Tong University to receive 6 credit points at the University of Sydney; or 8 credits at Shanghai Jiao Tong
University to receive 12 credit points at the University of Sydney.

Please refer to the table below: You may select 6 or 12 credit points to complete abroad from the below.

The units listed in Group A will count toward your 3000-level Selective requirements for your Economics major.

The units listed in Group B will count toward your General Elective space Table A.

This approval is granted for in person face to face study only, and not for online study.

You can read more about what these outcomes mean on our website:

Study Abroad Conditions & Key Information:

• You can receive credit for only one Study Abroad Program per session and this approval overrides any previous approval.

• This approval is granted for in person face to face study only, and not for online study.

• This approval is based off your current enrolment listed above, and your semester units of ECOS3002, OLET1504, OLET1616, SIEN1000, SIEN1001 and
OLET2135. If you change your enrolment this approval may be void and you may not receive credit.

• Due to the high volume of applications we have received for the Summer 2024 period, we will not be able to provide additional Academic Approvals. This
is to ensure fairness to your peers and other students, who are currently awaiting an approval outcome.

• Any additional units added to your overseas study request will not be assessed, and we will not revise your academic approval outcome should you make
any changes in your enrolment.

• If you wish to study units overseas that are not on your Academic Approval letter or units of study overseas that are offered Online (instead of face to
face), there is no guarantee that you will receive credit for this. You will need to submit a credit application upon your return to have the units assessed
based on the standard Credit and Faculty rules. Please be aware that credit will not be granted simply because you have paid to study a unit, so consider
your own personal circumstances before deciding on this approach.

• To avoid any disappointment it is strongly recommended that you follow your current Academic Approval letter to be guaranteed credit upon the
completion of the program.

• It is likely your credit application will not be processed before the start of 2024, Semester 1, or by the last day to add units of study. If you are intending
to use credit from this program to contribute toward your final semester studies, or complete pre/co-requisite requirements this means that:

- You may not be able to enrol in higher level units in Semester 1

- You will not be able to reduce your study load until your credit application has been completed (if you are a student visa holder)
- You may not be able to complete your degree as quickly as you may be expecting to

Please consider this information carefully when making a decision about whether this study abroad program is appropriate for you. Study abroad programs
are non-compulsory, and the University makes no commitments that participation in this program will enable you to progress any faster through your
degree or graduate any sooner.

Your next actions:

You should now attach a copy of this academic approval letter to your Terradotta (Sydney Abroad) application. This is an important step in your study
abroad process. Please save a copy of this letter for yourself, as you will need it to apply for credit.
Applying for credit after completion of your Study Abroad Program:
Upon successful completion of the program abroad, you will need to obtain a copy of your Official Academic Transcript from your host institution.

You will then need to submit a credit application via Sydney Student by going to 'My Studies' » 'Course Details' » 'Application for credit and/or reduced
volume of learning'. As part of the application, you must ensure you submit this Study Abroad approval letter, as well as your host institution Official
Academic Transcript to your application, otherwise your request will be rejected.

established. Students participating in the Mobility programs must abide by the Student Charter 2020 (https://www.sydney.edu.au/policies/showdoc.aspx?
recnum=PDOC2011/215&RendNum=0) whilst studying abroad as a representative of the University of Sydney. It is also your responsibility to ensure your
enrolment details are always correct and up to date in reference to your Course Resolutions (https://www.sydney.edu.au/handbooks/archive/index.shtml).
