SUMMARY :

Due to the minerals , amino acids and vitamins found in aloe vera
plant , it has been used medicinally for the past countless years ,
aloe vera is literally a pharmacy in a plant . This plant can be
found in the Caribbean in many backyards . Aloe should be a way
of life seeing that this one plant has so many uses , in Aruba , it
already is . In Aruba the aloe industry dates back centuries ago.
Cultivating aloe and successfully distributing aloe-based products
around the globe is what Aruba is known for . Houses and
buildings have replaced many aloe fields , in the most recent
years causing a sole remaining plantation in Hato.

Elections For A New Executive

On Friday , 25 June 2020 at 10.00 a.m at the school’s

auditorium , the outgoing president of this school’s students’
council will be holding an election . Interested persons can apply
for Vice President , Treasurer , Secretary and Public Relations
Officer positions . The President position will only be available to
the fifth form students only. All students are welcome to vote for a
candidate for every position available .

Mr Mattar was a well known and respected member of the
community but lately he had become quite withdrawn . No one
could explain the change until the day the stranger arrived . It was
quite surprising and strange because he lived in a small
community where everyone knew everyone . The people of
Riverdale are kind , open hearted and loving people .
It’s been ( fifthteen ) years since Mr Mattar arrived in our
community . At first it was quite shocking because this community
mostly had couples or single parents but Mr Mattar arrived all
alone . He had no one besides this community , no one came to
visit unless it were someone from the community.
It didn’t seem to bother him because regardless of that he is
a well known and respected person . Since the day he arrived he
had been nothing but kind , helpful and thoughtful towards
others . He would teach music to the kids in the community for
free , do volunteer work , help out at the community center and
host his weekly Sunday BBQ after church service. That is why it
was so strange of his behavior and this mystery person showing
up out of nowhere .
Few weeks ago he received a letter informing him that his
mother he had been looking for all these years had been found
and was coming to visit him . Mr Mattar didn’t have any family
because he never knew them . He grew up moving from one
foster home to another until he was of age to go out into the world
on his own . It never interested him to create his own family
because he spent most of his life helping others and trying to find
his birth mother . After moving to Riverdale the love he received
and the love he gave it was like this community was his own
family . What he didn’t know was that his mother was also looking
for him all these years . He was her only child and certain
unpleasant situations kept them from having a mother - son
relationship .
Mattar and his mother were just alike , they shared the same
interest in helping others and always putting others' needs before
their own . He had found the missing piece to complete his life.
He had the love of his mother and the love of the community , it
didn’t bother him that he didn’t have a wife and children of his own
. Doesn’t matter the age, everyone wants to feel the love of a
mother .

Do you really think that the number of road accidents will

decrease if the age for obtaining a driver’s license is increased to
( twenty ) years ? Honestly speaking I don't believe that , because
in my observation I notice that road accidents happen because of
drinking and driving , heavy rainfalls , distracted driving and
speeding . Not because of a certain age .
The legal age for driving is ( eighteen ) years of age, even
things like voting and drinking are at that age . Why ? , because at
that age in this country it is considered an adult with the ability to
make decisions for themselves . Age doesn’t determine maturity
and the ability to make decisions . Many young adults make better
decisions compared to adults with many years of age experience .
Road accidents happen and are caused by young adults ,
ageable people and old people who are still driving .
 Accidents also happen because of drinking and driving .
There are road safety guidelines to follow when driving but there
are only so many that actually follow them . Drivers who have
been on the road for many years and know the danger of drinking
and driving do it even while knowing better and the
consequences that come with it if something were to happen .
What makes you believe that these road accidents happen
because of persons who obtain driver learners at ( seventeen ) or
young adults under the age of ( twenty ) ?
Furthermore , accidents can happen because of heavy
rainfall . The driver can lose control of the car because of the wet
roads and foggy glass . Are you going to blame the weather on
young adult drivers ? Are you aware that a road accident can
happen to you because of another driver or even the vehicle you
are driving ?
Young drivers’ licenses come in handy for those who have to
work , attend UWI , attend courses in long distance areas . These
advantages listed above are hard to actually believe that
increasing the age limit would make any difference when it comes
to road accidents .
