6.

5 Loop Point Counters


LOOP POINT COUNTERS
are used to help locate where
a loop open circuit (LOOP
O/C) is located.

1. Select 6 – View/Print
Data

2. Select 5 – Loop Point


Counters

3. Select the appropriate


loop (in this example it is
Loop A)

Note: This may take


several minutes for the
panel to poll the loop.

4. Press F3 – Scan

5. ‘L’ means the device is


responding from the left
side of the loop and ‘R’
means the device is
responding from the
right.

The OPEN CIRCUIT is where


the ‘L’ changes to ‘R’. In this
example it is between A55
and A56
