Marketing: Marketing is a social and managerial process by which


individuals and groups obtain what they need and want through creting
and exchanging products value with other.

Marketing Mix: Four types of marketing mix.


1. Product;
2. Price;
3. Place;
4. Promotion;

Product: The item or service being sold must satisfy a consumer’s need
or desire.
Price: An item should be sold at the right price for consumer
expectation neither too low nor too high.
Place: The location where the product can be purchased is important
for optimizing sales.
Promotion: The public needs to be informed about the product and its
features to understand how it fills their needs and desires.
Marketing Promotional Mix: Four types of promotional mix.
1. Advertising;
2. Sales promotion;
3. Public Relations;
4. Direct Marketing;

Advertising: Companies pay to advertise their service or product to a


high number of people at the same time. Common form of
advertisements include adds in television, newspaper, radio, magazine
etc.
Sales Promotion: Sales promotion are short term incentives to
encourage people to buy a product or service. Example include
coupons, rebates or games and contests that the public can participate
in.
Public Relation: This types of promotion communicates a company’s
services and image to the public. Example can include news conference.
Direct Marketing: This strategy is more personal approach, targeting
customers directly through in person promotions, catalogs, e-mail,
telephone call or mail.
