INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Apple Watch is a series of smartwatches manufactured by Apple Inc. It connects with iOS
and other Apple goods and services, and includes fitness monitoring, health-related functions,
and wireless communication. The Apple Watch was debuted in April 2015 and rapidly
became the best-selling wearable device: 4.2 million were sold in the second quarter of fiscal
2015, and it was anticipated that more than 100 million people will use an Apple Watch by
December 2020. With a few exceptions, Apple has debuted a new iteration of the Apple
Watch with enhanced internal components each September and designated as a 'Series' by
Apple.
Each Series was initially sold in multiple variants defined by the watch casing's material,
colour, and size (except for the budget watches Series 1 and SE, which were only available in
aluminium, and the Ultra, which were only available in 49 mm uncoloured titanium), and
beginning with Series 3, by the option in the aluminium variants for LTE cellular
connectivity, which comes standard with the other materials. The watch's band may be
chosen from a variety of Apple alternatives, while watch variations in aluminium co-branded
with Nike and stainless steel co-branded with Hermès are also available, each with distinctive
bands, colours, and digital watch faces bearing those businesses' brandings.
The Apple Watch works mostly in combination with the user's iPhone for activities such as
customising the watch and syncing data with iPhone applications, but it can also connect to a
Wi-Fi network on its own for some data-reliant purposes such as rudimentary
communications and music streaming. LTE-equipped devices may connect to a mobile
network, including for talking, texting, and installed mobile app data consumption,
significantly decreasing the requirement for an iPhone after initial setup. Although the
associated iPhone is not required to be close to the watch, it must be switched on and
connected to a cellular network in order to make a call using the watch. The oldest iPhone
model that is compatible with any specific Apple Watch is determined by the version of
system software installed on each device.

When users selecting an Apple Watch, you will be given an option to consider the following:
 Case material: stainless steel or aluminium
 Colours: midnight, starlight, silver, (PRODUCT)red, gold or graphite
 Size: 41mm or 45 mm length; all watches have same thickness
 Ion-X on aluminium models or sapphire glass on stainless steel models

USEFULNESS ABOUT THE PRODUCT

It’s the ultimate device for a healthy life. Apple Watch can do what your other devices can’t
because it’s on your wrist. When you wear it you get a fitness partner that measures all the
ways you move, meaningful health insights and a connection to the people and things you
care about most.

Apple watch notification take on a whole new feel because they discreetly come straight to
your wrist. And they are designed to let you address or dismiss them just as subtly.

Apple watch also able to detect if you’re in a severe car crash and automatically connect you
with emergency services, provide your location and notify your emergency contacts.

PERFORMANCE
The same battery life issue of previous generations remains in the Series 8. Apple watch rates
the battery for 18 hours of use, and warns you’ll need 30%charge before bedtime to safely
track your sleep without risk of watch running out of power. We found you can get at least a
couple of hours more than a day’s use, including 45 minutes of GPS tracked running and
sleep tracking between charges. And that’s in the ‘Always-on’ display mode, which keeps the
time on-screen all day. However, this was without using the watch to receive notifications
from an email client or WhatsApp, which is going to eat away at that battery buffer.

Apple has introduced a low power mode that turns off Wi-Fi/4G, turns off the ‘Always-on’
displays mode and limits how often the watch checks in for notifications with your iPhone.
This can double battery life, for every-other-day charging. Battery life is slightly better than a
Pixel watch.

The Apple Watch Series 8 has high-quality GPS that is fairly quick to connect and offers
good distance readings.

FEATURES
1. Messaging and calling

There is a variety of ways to communicate with the device. Users can send and receive
messages by dictating them or selecting from given options. There’s a built-in speaker
and microphone for phone calls though it seems those calls have to go through an
accompanying smartphone and not directly from the watch to a network. Users can
silence incoming calls by covering the watch.

2. Sleep tracking

The Apple Watch Series 8 models can be worn at night to keep track of your sleep. It
monitors when you’re awake and when you are sleep, letting you know how much time
you spent in the REM, Core and Deep sleep stages. Sleep tracking also lets you know
how often you’ve woken up in the night and for how long.

3. Apps

The Apple Watch has a new brand interface that displays apps as small, circular icons.
The watch uses what Apple calls a < haptic engine = for alerts and app notifications, so it
will vibrate or <tap you on the wrist =when they come in. There’s a range of on-board
apps like calendar, Maps, photos, and music. Users can control music on their iPhone
from the watch.

RELIABILITY
 The Apple HR's dependability during walking, jogging, and running.
The intra-device reliability (Trial 1 vs Trial 2) increased with exercise intensity, resulting
in higher ICCs and lower standardised typical errors (Table2). During Trial 2, the inter-
device dependability between the left and right Apple Watches was very good to virtually
flawless, with minor to modest standardised usual errors.

The Apple Watch HR's dependability in recuperation after walking, jogging, and running.
The intra-device reliability (Trial 1 versus Trial 2) in rocovery from exercise improved with

DURABILITY
If users want to use a smartwatch daily, it has to be durable for daily usages. Thankfully
the Apple watch Series 8 features water and dust resistances. The Series 8 is IP6X dust
resistant, which will help protect the internals of the watch. In terms of water resistance,
the Series 8 has a WR50 rating, which means it can survive up to a depth of 50 meters.

This means that even though the Series 8 is not as resistant as the Apple Watch Ultra, it
can survive being in the rain and can take a swim in a shallow pool. It is important to note
however that the Apple Watch isn’t dive-proof, so don’t push it too hard. But won’t have
to worry about damaging the watch through regular usage.

SERVICEABILITY
 APPLE WATCH SERVICE AND REPAIR

Customers must send repair request online for easier. Where a repair is not possible or not
commercially viable, Apple may replace the product with a new or refurbished product of
similar functionality. After a repair, firmware upgrade or replacement the warranty period
will continue from the date of the original purchase. Apple company is very friendly when
talking to customers as well as easy to provide assistance when there is damage to customers
goods.

AESTHETICS
The Apple Watch is a thing of absolute beauty. They’re remarkably similar. The Side button
is now flusher to the body, and the actual size of the Apple Watch has changed too (from
38mm and 42 mmm to 40 mm and 44mm). But apart from that? It’s strangely consistent.

PERCEIVED QUALITY OF PRODUCT

Apple learned that mainstream consumers are extremely interested in the design of their tech
products, as well as a reliable users experience. The sheer volume of functionality as well as
the competitive advantage of one product over another is slightly less important. Apple has
already done an excellent job of creating desire for the brand overall, so its goal with the
Apple Watch is to gently in still the notion that wearing an Apple Watch is fashionably
sound.
 CONCLUSION
